Ds is 14 and has hfa and needs a routine, school holidays throw him completely.
He goes to bed around 10 on a school night but is allowed a DVD on for background noise, phone not allowed in bed. He gets up at 7 no problem.
Friday and Saturday nights I allow him to dictate his own bedtime and he's good at knowing when to give in, the novelty soon wears off
Dd is 6 and slept through from the week she was born and am now getting payback.
She shows signs of tiredness, is active, has a good routine but struggles to settle, her dad is bloody soft with her and lets her have iPad before bed ( mostly educational games ) and I think she's over stimulated, it's a bone of contention in our house.
Come the morning she is an absolute nightmare to get up, once asleep she can sleep for England and mornings are stressful, thankfully I'm organised and have everything ready but I know she needs to be in bed earlier, oh I didn't put her time down- averages 8.30
Sorry that was so long
