My periods are like clockwork. Every full moon. Then last four days. One light, 2 heavy, one light.
Before my period my breast hurt for about 7 days and I get occasional pains in my lower abdomen.
This month my period didn't start until 8 days after the full moon and my breast didn't hurt AT ALL! I was really surprised. I've also been sweating a lot at night and getting what I can only imagine are hot flashes....though it kind of feel like when you are coming down with a cold.....
Do you think this could be the start of the menopause......or do I have ages to go before it's full on?

Might be an idea to get it checked out by the GP. I thought I was starting the menopause when I was 48, but it turned out to be cervical cancer.

Are you up to date with your smears?

Radiotherapy did cause the menopause though, and the hot flushes were weird. They would start in my torso, then spread up to my head. I could actually feel them travelling upwards.

I've got a few of the other peri menopausal symptoms but some could be cross over symptoms from other conditions.
Just really odd that my boobs didn't hurt at all.....that's usually an excellent gauge for how close my period is.
I'm not up to date with my smears....should prob get things checked out. gets out the hedge trimmers
