She may have been in one of the most successful girl bands of all time but her contribution to that girl band is arguably less than the other 4 in terms of singing and she certainly benefitted from the likes of Mel C and Emma being able to at least carry a tune while VB stuck to choruses and occasionally being thrown a line.

I know she hasn't been given OBE for services to singing but can't let that comment by pp go unchallenged given VB was definitely right place right time in terms of her spice girls career which led to her becoming the global star she is now.

I can't get worked up about her getting an OBE...I agree it's a meaningless system anyway but there have been less deserving as well as more deserving people. I suppose it was inevitable she'd get one eventually. I'm in the 'meh' category.

I read the article and it would seem when the drive into the palace DB was sitting in the back of the car hidden under a sheet. For me it just highlights the ridiculous element of them and it's the ridiculousness of them that should have prevented an award being given.

I did once see them on Parkinson and Victoria did come across as being a really good laugh.

I couldn't give two hoots about her personally but I don't think that OBEs should be given for fashion. There's a lot more deserving areas with normal people really putting themselves out who should get stuff like that over her.

Oh come on, they were all crappy singers, the spice girls were never about the singing talent! Each one of them brought a character to the table and Posh as the quiet pouty one was just as instrumental in that as any of the others.

I met Victoria a very long time ago once, and she seemed very lovely. I don't get why as a fashion designer she gets more hate for getting an award than someone getting one for being a singer, actor or sportsperson?

Mel C has a pretty decent voice TBF.

I think she is unnaturally thin and for that reason, could never be any sort of role model.
