To think it's common sense

... To put children in the car FIRST then start loading the shopping in the car?

Was at Aldi earlier and the lady parked next to me was loading her shopping in her car. Her approximately 3yo son was playing with the trolley, ran away and then stepped back in the path of a car!
I heard the 'you shouldn't do abc because of xyz' about six times, it clearly wasn't working!

I swear some people lack common sense! Angry

Surely click and collect you'd still have to load your car...? I do my shopping online as my 3 year old just wants to buy all the paw patrol yogurts and chocolate bars she can find when we venture into a supermarket.

Don't see how click and collect helps? You still have to park, go inside, get the shopping and put it in the car, while managing toddler, no? Are there stores where they're waiting at the kerb with your shopping to load it for you (genuinely wondering now!)?

Our Tesco has a separate drive through area to collect the click and collect orders in a separate single storey building in the car park.

Click and collect is a little kiosk at the other side of the car park usually. You drive up and an attendant hands you some crates to load into your boot. 5mins max. No need to get kids out of the car. My 3yo has now worked out how to undo the seat belt. He likes to climb in the front and fiddle with buttons if we have stopped moving. Handbrake is a worry.

Get it delivered more like!

I have always put kids in car, put shopping in car then returned shopping trolley. I have never thought OMG what happens in the 30-40 seconds I leave my children in the car alone whilst all strapped into car seats!!!!
In the same vein at a petrol station... I leave all 3 strapped in a ho to pay alone .... because common sense says that the risk of getting 3 kids out of a car and into a petrol station to pay are higher than someone coming along an stealing my car with my kids in it!
Have 3 kids under 3 ... you'll change your views!!!!
