All questions everything done... Then last month as they are ready to sign there contract
They ask for a gas boiler check
This is done
I send certificate off to them then he has to urgently go abroad
Get a email saying he is back in UK and going to solicitors to sign yesterday
Phone call at 2.15... She is now in hospital.. And is expected to be there for 6 weeks
I'm thinking now I'm pulling had enough
Estate Agent says I'm still liable for there fees under ready willing and able buyer.
I think clearly they ain't... What do you all think

That's awful, what useless EA.

WantedDeadorAlive · 05/05/2017 15:01

The 20th is a Saturday?

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 05/05/2017 15:01

What a scam. . Take your house sale elsewhere. .

Gazelda · 05/05/2017 15:10

What sort of contract do you have with your EA? Are you tied in at all?

OVienna · 05/05/2017 15:26

Can you contact - I think it's RICS - and see if they've been sanctioned previously or something?

It all sounds very dodgy. Sorry that's not too helpful. Your solicitor sounds crap too.

Hereward1332 · 05/05/2017 15:43

Are the original buyers first time buyers, or selling there property? Call me cynical, but is it possible the EA is trying to ensure he gets commission for both properties?

It's deceit whichever way you look at it.

Wow2806 · 05/05/2017 16:08

Finally just got a email from them regarding lady number 2 and bogus viewer.

That makes me sigh with relief as I was feeling so sick at the thought of them not putting things through for me.. And was hoping against hope I had got it wrong

Still cant believe how long it took them though :)

Taking so long to let people view is so wrong. When I called to view houses, we were given a day and time within an hour or less on some houses that were empty and the EA was doing the viewing.

WantedDeadorAlive · 05/05/2017 22:15

I think your EA are giving you a shocking service! As I mentioned earlier the 20th is a Saturday, how likely are you going to exchange at the weekend? I don't know of any solicitor around my way open for business at the weekend.
