I really couldn't give two jots whether he wants to know if I am ok but think he should check in with the kids at least once. He went away yesterday morning and we havn't heard from him since. His mobile phone just rings. I know he was golfing today but he was prob stretched out on his mothers couch this afternoon watching rugby. I also rang his mothers house but only got answering machine. Men and balls.

Men and balls - always like fiddling with them

my DH is away at the momet for work , I am not feeling well , he phoned ealrier but too interested to find out the football score than to take pity on me whilst he lives it up in USA !!!

Maybe he assumes you would call or message if there was a problem or emergency.
WHen you next go away would you not expect that of him?

HardbackPaperback · 16/05/2025 18:33

But wouldn’t you contact him if anything was wrong with the children? I went away for five days by myself in January and only called home once or twice the whole time.

If they were not OK you'd call.
However i would expect him to want to talk to them

This post is from 2007. Presumably the children are adults by now.
