Hi lovelies,

Been eyeing two pairs of trainers but just can't make my mind up. Both puma but totally different. I've been debating between them since Saturday Hmm

What do you ladies think? Or any other suggestions for something similar? I do love the girly ones!

What trainers do you have? I currently have a very old battered pair of converse that really have seen better days Blush

these

or these

At the moment I'm swinging towards the Fenty ones, they look gorgeous. They're part of the Rihanna collection (which would normally put me off!) but so girly. But then I see the pink ones and I change my mind again!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend x

I'm undecided which Adidas ones to choose. My son says Gazelle but I do like Samba, my DP said go for the ones that say Dragon, cheeky sod.

Crunchymum · 17/04/2017 21:55

Get yourself another pair of Converse.

HTH

Im a huge trainer fan with quite a few in my collection and probably have lots that others wouldnt like so i say go for what is your favourite.

However if you really want opinions then i really dont like the Fenty ones. Her first style of Fenty were so much nicer. I love the Puma ones and actually have them, but in Basket style, white patent which imo are nicer than the Swedes.

GuinessPunch · 17/04/2017 22:03

The pink ones but in black.

  • suedes not swedes!!
JojoLapin · 17/04/2017 22:25

Nope nope nope. Don't do it.

audrinahere · 17/04/2017 22:32

Go for the top ones. I have a pair and I loooove them Grin

Pugmomma · 18/04/2017 12:27

Well I couldn't decide so I bought both, with the idea being see them in the flesh which suits better and send the other back! I know they're a very unique taste but each to their own, I've fancied something funky and girly for a while! RIP to the battered old converse Flowers thanks to everyone for their help! Some other good suggestions, will have a good body after work. Smile

Those trainers may be girly (in a 6 year old kind of way) but they most certainly are not funky. What are you planning on wearing them with/for what kind of occasion?

LadyPW · 18/04/2017 13:12

Funky?!!! In that case I think you may have posted the wrong links.....

Allthebestnamesareused · 18/04/2017 13:18

Stick to the battered Converse.

SaucyJack · 18/04/2017 13:22

Is this some sort of parody thread that I'm not getting?

Pugmomma · 18/04/2017 14:31

Wow, well I like them. I'm early 20's so it's just kind of what I like. I think they're funky in the sense that they arent perceived as 'ordinary'. They aren't as mainstream as say converse etc. They're more individual and unique, and some would say eye catching. I'm the kind of person who doesn't give two hoots what anyone else thinks- if I like something I buy it. I won't buy something to fit in or because everyone else has it or likes it. Nothing worse than all girls walking around dressed almost the same like a herd of sheep. I'm an individual and not afraid to show it. You should see my car and my high heels if you think those trainers are bright Grin

Why ask which ones people think you should buy in the first place then... Hmm

Abetes · 18/04/2017 14:41

No, just no.

Easter Hmm
Hoppinggreen · 18/04/2017 15:22

Does your car have eyelashes and is it powered by pixie dust?

Mulberry72 · 18/04/2017 15:24

Hopping Grin

wildbhoysmama · 18/04/2017 15:29

Go for it, but don't expect anyone to take you at all seriously when you have them on!

Pugmomma · 18/04/2017 15:57

I meant coat not car but I'm loving the mumsnet vibe, so critical and judgy today. Such a delight to see women supposedly be feminism yet tear into other women that likes something that you don't! Splendid xoxo

chastenedButStillSmiling · 18/04/2017 16:04

Wow. This is going downhill fast!

I hope you're happy with whichever pair you choose. IMO they're both hideous and v expensive, and make my eyes hurt WAY more than the Twiggy thread; but it doesn't matter at all what I think. Are you planning to wear them for fashion or serious exercise? Because the second pair don't look like they'd give you much support.

But your last post seems to suggest you aren't really interested in the views of other people anyway, so it's irreverent.

Have S&B and AIBU swapped today?

notgivingin789 · 18/04/2017 16:08

I prefer the cream satin pumas, the other one is too pink.

wildbhoysmama · 18/04/2017 17:40

It's not to do with feminism at all, It's the fact that you see trainers as an item where u can express your girliness rather than ur sporting prowess. If I saw those trainers on someone I'd presume they were trying to bring attention to themselves for being female and cutesey rather than their characteristics. It's a feeling rolled in with the pink, girly, big bowed Jordan type look (of old) which makes me shudder due to the connotations that women should look like little girls/ be as intelligent as a 6 year old.Confused

PidgeonSpray · 18/04/2017 21:09

I couldnt help you decide which ones are nicest tbh, as both are rather nasty
