The new Margate?

Help we really want to buy a property!

Love Margate. Great connection to London really quick train. Beautiful beach. Too expensive! We have missed the boat.

On all property threads people are always saying how cheap so and so is compared to London. So where? Where is the next Margate? 40k not a dump and under two hours to London?

Margate is still incredibly cheap, how much mortgage are you looking for and I'll tell you where is cheap. I spend way too much time on rightmove.

Mermaidinthesea123 · 17/04/2017 13:15

What is your maximim house price.

GretchenFranklin · 17/04/2017 13:18

Grin Margate is fab, you will find something lovely.

wasonthelist · 17/04/2017 13:24

Ipswich and surrounding area.

FancyPuffin · 17/04/2017 13:36

Tbh and I mean this nicely. If Margate is too expensive and you don't want to live a 'bad area' then I don't think you'll be able to get anything. What your budget and requirements though?

Prices have gone a crazy on the coast as Whitstable prices have meant that people have pushed out into other areas.

What about renting in the area for a year while you get to know it, then you can see if can find a cheaper area you can live with.
