I don't give a crap about outing oneself right now. Usually we do the hunt but I've ruined said hunt. I have s bag of (Sainsbury's) eggs here for tomorrow. How do I save this. And flame away I don't care

That's far more fun.
I'd love working it out (as long as they aren't 2!)

BeingACuntItsABingThing · 16/04/2017 01:49

Kids are
4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 14 and 18

If it's egg snobbery, could you take them out the plastic box's so they're in the foil, it's not so obvious

FeralBeryl · 16/04/2017 01:51

Are yours the younger ones?
Seriously - give each one a coloured piece of paper then stick the same type to their eggs and send them off to look.

Or write a little riddle on a post it for them stuck on the front of the egg if it's a boxed one so they have to work out if it's theirs or not.

BeingACuntItsABingThing · 16/04/2017 01:51

Tried asking that Wink Cadbury have Cadburys foil

I have literally just been left here with Eggs and I do not know where to put them

OP posts:
FeralBeryl · 16/04/2017 01:53

Well where did they go last year?

liz70 · 16/04/2017 01:54

I really think you're eggsagerating the issue here, OP.

BeingACuntItsABingThing · 16/04/2017 01:55

See what you did there Liz

I need to sleep so I'm going with chuck them outside bedroom and they can pick

BeingACuntItsABingThing · 16/04/2017 01:56

I bloody hate Easter Blush

JungleInTheRumble · 16/04/2017 01:57

Can you just hide them around the house with a little post it note with their name on? Like behind the curtains, on a shelf or whatever. I'm sure kids really won't be bothered about the brand name on the egg (especially if yours are the younger ones on the list).

The funniest and most memorable Easter of my childhood was when my dad screwed up the Easter egg hunt due to having too much to drink prior to setting up the egg hunt. We still all laugh about it about 20 years later !

MrsHenryWales · 16/04/2017 01:57

Are your children not allowed to eat the over priced Chinese milk shit Cadbury's eggs?

If your brothers are the older ones put the Cadbury's ones up high. On top of furniture and shelves etc. And the sainsburys ones lower down, behind settees etc.

NameChangeInCasePeopleRecogn · 16/04/2017 01:59

Christ on bike - this thread is proof that Easter is the new Christmas, family angst and all!

BeingACuntItsABingThing · 16/04/2017 02:00

I have given up because I want to sleep and chucked the egg bags outside bedroom door to share Blush

OP posts:
JungleInTheRumble · 16/04/2017 02:00

Ohh is it that the cadbury eggs have already been hidden but with no names and you can't add yours to them because they're not cadbury? Just get a few post it notes and label them all I would. If your mum's kids want to swap theirs around later they could right.

JungleInTheRumble · 16/04/2017 02:01

Cross post!

BeingACuntItsABingThing · 16/04/2017 02:03

I hate it. It's my worse time of year but I'm doing it for the kids

OP posts:
FeralBeryl · 16/04/2017 02:14

Ok, I tried to help. Hope it goes well Flowers kids won't care, they'll enjoy looking anywhere. If some kids are going to get to hunt and some aren't - that does seem unfair.

PyongyangKipperbang · 16/04/2017 02:15

Dont leave the bag there, you will hate yourself tomorrow.

Tell your mum to fuck off. I did to mine once, was very cathartic and she has been a lot more careful around me since! In fact, ask he why she is being such and eggcunt over an egghunt.

Do a bedroom egg hunt. Insist that they must have proper breakfast and while they are eating, hide the eggs in their rooms.

ohtheholidays · 16/04/2017 02:20

I never sort the Easter egg hunt until the actual Easter sunday.

My DH distracts our 5DC whilst I go and hide all of the small eggs, chocolate bunnies and sweets. But now the oldest 2 are 21 and 18 they'll be watching the younger one's so me and my DH can sort the Easter egg hunt.

Take no notice of your Mum OP if that's all she has to worry about then she lives a very charmed life!

Happy Easter Flowers Easter Smile

innagazing · 16/04/2017 02:45

Sounds more like a witch hunt than an egg hunt....
And look how much of a craze that became!

embo1 · 16/04/2017 02:50

I'm planning to buy mine tomorrow. Can they each get a big egg from their parent, then usr smaller eggs for a hunt?

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 16/04/2017 08:05

Explain to your family that you refuse to buy Cadburys' eggs in protest at their new disgusting palm-oil rich recipe and that by continuing to buy the tasteless, greasy cak, they are boosting sales. Cadburys have no incentive to revert back to the pricer original recipe while their sales are still buoyant enough to justify the "improved" product.

You have bought the superior, albeit cheaper, chocolate. They are enablers to crimes against chocolate! Have they even tasted Cadburys' chocolate lately? Gross, just gross!

More power to you and your flavoursome supermarket eggs madam! I salute you sister!

Caprianna · 16/04/2017 08:14

I insist in buying all eggs for the hunt so I can actively avoid Cadbury's. I don't like the taste, never buy anything with palm oil and I hate their branding.

Suze1621 · 16/04/2017 08:22

A cheap Sainsburys egg has just come top in Which survey - beating Cadburys hands down!
