Am I blocked?

Posting here for traffic...

Yes I know it's childish, I shouldn't give a toss etc, but can anyone help me work out if I've been blocked on FB please?

Person in question has vanished from friends list. They still show up on search bar, but if I click to access profile it comes up as not available. They are still on my messenger, which shows they've been active today?Confused

My first thought was that they'd deactivated profile, but now I'm wondering if I've been blocked!

Any thoughts from the more technically minded out there?

Yes just be assertive and call her out on it. She'll either ignore you or have to explain herself

NervousNellie29 · 15/04/2017 16:53

Log out of your Facebook and search her! Unless her profile has certain privacy settings it will come up if she hasn't deactivated Grin

user24688 · 15/04/2017 16:53

If your on messenger and can see still they have been online then I'd say they have deactivated their fb

user24688 · 15/04/2017 16:54

I am the same as you makes you feel shit and worry but sounds like she's come off

Bluntness100 · 15/04/2017 16:56

Gosh, you've clearly got a terrible relationship with uour future mother in law, Not because she has blocked you or not, but for the simple reason you think she would.

Does you future husband also have the same bad relationship with her?

happypoobum · 15/04/2017 16:59

I have someone blocked and they don't appear when I search them. I think MIL has deactivated.

I really wouldn't contact her - pretend you haven't noticed Wink

SumAndSubstance · 15/04/2017 16:59

The person who I know has blocked me doesn't come up if I do a search. Bizarrely, I can still see comments that she left on old posts of mine, but her name on them has no link on it, whereas people I know who have deleted their Facebook accounts, their comments on my old posts have disappeared.

didodogs · 15/04/2017 16:59

Yes Bluntness he does.

I tried forming a friendship with her, sadly she's a grade A cow bag. I can't wait for our wedding in AugustHmm

Friend can't find her either. Looks like she's deactivated. If only I could deactivate her in RL too...

Is it not a good thing?

NervousNellie29 · 15/04/2017 17:02

@didodogs I'll be your friend instead and we can swap stories of the cows in our lives and their PA actions Halo

didodogs · 15/04/2017 17:03

Not really because I know she's deactivated to avoid interacting with us about wedding.

She's supposed to be bringing the cake ffsShock

If only I could deactivate her in RL too.... Grin

Sounds like my sil. A grade a cow.

ShoesHaveSouls · 15/04/2017 17:04

If she had just de-activated, she would still show on your friends list, but her profile pic would be replaced with the default FB profile pic.

Blocked or unfriended I reckon. I hope I'm never the sort of MIL who blocks my son's partner Confused

Mummyoflittledragon · 15/04/2017 17:05

Get your own cake. Tell her not to bother. It's not till august so you have time. Better to spend a bit more money and be sure you actually have the thing. If she's into mind games she'll fuck it up. My sil fucked up my stepdads funeral last Tuesday and I wouldn't trust her to do anything for me.

didodogs · 15/04/2017 17:06

Sounds good NervousNellie I'll start with "It's totally FINE you just got me a (totally normal) amount of Xmas gifts. I'm used to it"

Now please have the five bags full of useless crap you will never have room for in your tiny flatGrin

OP posts:
happypoobum · 15/04/2017 17:08

Gosh no, don't rely on her for the cake Shock

If you end up with two then that's lovely, no such thing as too much cake Grin

didodogs · 15/04/2017 17:08

That's terrible about the funeral Mummyoflittledragon What the hell is wrong with these people.

I am definitely telling her to shove the cake. I'd rather have a chocolate sponge from Asia than rely on her.

livelyangela · 15/04/2017 17:08

I came on here thinking it was another constipation thread....sorry.....backs up off

didodogs · 15/04/2017 17:09

Asda even. Although I'm sure you get great sponge in Asia tooGrin

My FIL wife is freaking amazing and I love her to bits. However my MIL is an evil cow. Was meant to pay for our wedding cake and THE DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING said she wasn't going to, so we had to in the end.
I wouldn't have minded if she hadn't told us the day before. Complete crap.

didodogs · 15/04/2017 17:10

My thoughts exactly happypoobum Then we'll have more cake to medicate ourselves with when she causes a scene on the dayGrin

Mummyoflittledragon · 15/04/2017 17:11

Thanks dido She's a peach. Asian chocolate cake sounds yum. Save me a slice Cake

didodogs · 15/04/2017 17:12

NervousNellie Christ almighty. There's a cautionary tale for me right there. Wedding cakes are clearly a PA MIL special areaAngry

Freaking cow of a woman. Has borrowed loads of £££ from us as well. And never paid a penny back!!!
Then we needed to borrow a bit from her while moving and she started harassing us to pay her back the next day.
Despise her.

SouthWestmom · 15/04/2017 17:16

Isn't it more likely she just defriended you? Rather than blocked you or deactivated her account?
