To think it's unfair on the sacconejolys children

I don't watch them. But millions do. I don't really think it's very fair on the children to record everything noteworthy (well 99.9% is boring as fuck) everday and post it online.

How do they get away without child working / performance permits?

Who in the name of God wants to know what total strangers are eating? Can you actually vicariously enjoy the taste of other people's food, or absorb their nutrients?
A quick - any ideas what to give the kid's for tea? - is slightly different to some self styled personality thinking anyone gives a toss.

brexitstolemyfuture · 15/04/2017 06:39

What i eat in a day is very common, it's piss easy content and a great way to get in paid for promo. The human face is fucked.

Who is their target market?

I'm quite young, have young children, I like reading crap about celebrities to pass time but I have never heard of these people Confused I googled them and had a look at a few videos. I could only put up with 30 seconds before I turned it off.

EccentricPickle · 15/04/2017 07:39

People probably ask her to post what she eats in a day - I imagine it starts because somebody wants to look like them/have a similar body.

Although I couldn't care less either! What I Eat In A Day videos are booooring!

GogoGobo · 15/04/2017 07:49

Toes are going to take a whiles to uncurl after watching 45 seconds of that dross! I think fine for the kids when they are babies/toddlers but too invasive as they get older...

defairmans · 15/04/2017 22:07

The worst part is that their baby girl's photo was used on a paedophilic role playing Instagram account (plus God knows where else) and all the dad said was "There are lots of weird sites out there, friend :)"

Floggingmolly · 15/04/2017 22:33

Dear God Sad

brexitstolemyfuture · 16/04/2017 07:56

Never heard of them!

I have to admit that I used to watch them every day. They used to have a pretty nice (but normal) house in Ireland, do normal, everyday things and be quite relatable and likeable. People like to watch them because Anna is attractive and Jonathan is always really happy on camera.

However, since they've been making the big £££, they've changed. They have a lot of hired help so completely unrelatable to everyone except the super rich, rent a very nice, bloody expensive house in Surrey and Anna does these shopping 'hauls' which used to be affordable clothes and are now 15 mins of, 'here's my £1000 new handbag, here is £1200 bracelet' etc etc. They've had clever marketing advice and really cashed in on it, such as replicated her deceased father's necklace that she wears and selling it to their many flocks of teenage fans and selling calendars with pictures on of themselves.

I wouldn't like my kids online for all perverts to watch but at the same time, they're giving their children a pretty cushy life with all the money they're making. Of course it's exploiting them...but so is child modelling. They're very spoiled children who probably aren't very nice but Jonathan has been clever enough to find a way to rake the money in so good on him for that.

I think I'm one of the very few who prefer Jonathan to Anna; he seems to do all the work and is a hands on dad (on camera) while she naps all day, takes pictures of her food and does online shopping. I can imagine she's really bitchy and up her own arse in real life.

It's come to light that they're massive bullies too, so I won't be watching them again. A small YouTuber said a few days ago that a 'certain family' (didn't name them) used negative click bait of their kids to get views and how she didn't agree with it. They do this constantly, almost pretend their children are sick to get people to click on their videos for views. They milked the last pregnancy to death with the 'we have a problem, is baby coming' type titles every day. Anyway, they publicly named and shamed her for this on their twitter, naming and tagging her so that their drones of child followers would troll and bully this young woman, while Anna is all, 'woe is me, I've just had a baby and now someone has dared criticise how we pretend our children are ill to make money.' She will soon go into hiding again (aka, her bed) due to the stress of it. They've tried to ruin this poor girl's career and I hope she turns it into a positive and makes the most of the attention she's getting. Horrible people to do what they did when they have so many followers. I've unsubscribed and wish people would stop funding their lavish lifestyle.

Sorry for the rambling! Do I think YABU to think it's unfair on the sacconejoly children...not really but better them online and having a lovely life than eating crisps all day in front of a tv in a council flat while their parents inject heroin. YANBU if you think they're bullying, self obsessed cunts though ;)

tovelitime · 16/04/2017 08:49

I can safely say that I've never heard of them.

Screwinthetuna · 16/04/2017 08:50

Haha, that's meant to be self obsessed cretins, not cunts Grin Oh well, my phone obviously thinks they are Wink

brexitstolemyfuture · 16/04/2017 10:45

Haha Grin

I have to admit I'm loving these YouTube forums I've just found. My inner bitch needs to vent online during holiday.

I think the Shaytards can beat these guys as they live streamed the birth of their 5th child with EVERYTHING on show! They have something daft like 15 million subscribers and have earnt over $100m from vlogging...!!!

Maudlinmaud · 16/04/2017 13:04

Dd went through a phase of watching a child called Bratayley and her sister Annie.. I banned them when my child developed a mid atlantic twang that would put Graeme McDowell to shame. I'm not a fan of child bloggers.

dontbesillyhenry · 16/04/2017 13:10

Can't bear the self obsessed pretentious airheads. I worry about the brain capacity of people who 'admire' people for basically being show offs

Yukbuck · 16/04/2017 21:05

dontbesillyhenry that's a bit harsh. I think soaps and Britain's got talent stuff are all a bit rubbish but I'd never say something like 'I worry about the brain capacity' everyone likes different things and just because you don't it doesn't mean to say you can slate their intelligence. If we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place.

PoachedEggsOnToast · 17/04/2017 18:54

Did any of you see the awful card that apparently got sent to their house a couple of years ago threatening the kids?! Lots of people thought it was actually written by J to divert attention from something to do with them being in trouble over advertising! Won't post on here as it's pretty graphic but if you google you'll find it easy enough Shock feel so sorry for the poor kids being used as pawns

Plentyoffishnets · 17/04/2017 19:11

My kids watch daily bumps and ellie and jered as well as the shaytards. Thr worst of all that they watch though is skylander boy and girl and family. The dad in that is beyond awful and actually borderline abusive at times. He deliberately winds his kids up and films them getting upset /being petrified. Rest of the time he just gets over excited and has zero boundaries for the children. Cannot stand it and I suspect the kids will really struggle with real life in the end
