So, just to make sure I am not derailing this bigliest and bestest of threads can I make a little proposal?

In light of the snap election (otherwise known as Brexit: The Sequel) and the fact that we have talked on and off about the links and overlaps between the Brexit referendum and the election of Trump, plus the threat of another influx of fake news, trolling and bots that now seems to be part of any election, can we expand the remit of this thread to include a UK election watch. I am thinking particularly of terrifying lurches to the right, fake news and any dodgy dealing?

While I don't want to fill this thread with debates on who to vote for I think the lovely posters on here have become top experts on spotting dodgy goings on. It seems like highlighting anything that comes up during the UK election would be a very useful service.

I also have no doubt that Trump will come up in the UK election. I fully expect that hand holding photo to be all over the place for the next couple of months and Mays appeasement of Trump seems to be one of her biggest threats right now. Highlighting these links and overlaps of interests would also be ..er...interesting.

How do people feel about this? I am happy to be out voted if we want to keep this thread purely Trump. There is plenty to cover on that score! :)

Bigly We've been posting about both for quite some time. I think as long as we don't let it get into a bunfight over the GE, it's no big deal, but I suspect that in the short term, Trump will likely be in the forefront (hopefully) if things start happening there.
