I can't believe this has happened to me! What an idiot I am Sad

I stuck one of DDs toys on my head to make her laugh. It has a sucker, it has now left a huge purple hikki on my forehead!

Have a family BBQ tomorrow with the in laws! Wtf can I do? Any advice on how to reduce a hikki? Please help! Sad

Haha. No it is internal bleeding - a bruise!
Foundation??

LouBlue1507 · 13/04/2017 13:56

Thought not! Currently lying flat with a cold compress to try and reduce it! Sad

I thought hikki was the new higge and this was a thread about interior design!

Sorry OP, as the pp said, it's a bruise and you'll have to cover it with make up. Hopefully it'll have gone down at least a little by tomorrow.

Toothpaste is what was advised when I was a teenager Grin

JessicaEccles · 13/04/2017 14:11

Witch hazel- when I was a teenager. It worked for love bites- allegedly. Blush

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 13/04/2017 14:13

A couple I knew years ago bought 2 kittens and a house to renovate before the wedding. .

His wedding day was with a huge cup bruise on his forehead where when had stuck a cat toy on it days before. .
Sadly the lad was killed by a one punch attack on a night out trying to get a girls phone back for her off some yob. .
You just bright back fond memories. . Ta! X

LouBlue1507 · 13/04/2017 14:23

I've just covered it in toothpaste let's hope it'll work!

Hahahahahaha xD foundation may cover some of it?

I think it's "hickey" lol

tigermoll · 13/04/2017 21:15

There's not much you can do, I'm afraid.

But you will be bringing much hilarity to the family BBQ! Tell the everyone what happened, laugh it off, and in ten years it will be one of those funny family stories that gets retold.

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 13/04/2017 21:16

Fucking brilliant!

Twofurrycats · 13/04/2017 21:19

A Bandana perhaps?

WashBasketsAreUs · 13/04/2017 21:44

My brother did exactly the same years ago and he couldn't wear foundation to cover it! Oh I laughed! X

Partyfops · 13/04/2017 21:45

DH did the same when DD was tiny, fucking hilarious!!

Toothpaste?

HemanOrSheRa · 13/04/2017 21:47

ShockGrin. Can you pretend that you sprouted a horn in the night and had to remove it?

PosiePootlePerkins · 13/04/2017 21:47

You probably don't have enough time, but I have rosacea and cover my redness with Estee Lauder maximum cover camouflage foundation. You can get it in Boots, but its not cheap!

Ferrynice · 13/04/2017 21:50

Arnica cream ?
Or just laugh it off !

WaegukSaram · 13/04/2017 21:53

Hahaha!

Erm...time for a fringe?

Or draw a little smiley face onto it.

demonchilde · 13/04/2017 21:54

Its could be worse OP, I once thought it would be funny to put a pair of DD's suction devil horns (Halloween) on my forehead, and it did the same. I tried panstick stuff, creams all sorts, but had to laugh it off in the end. Not a good time!

CheshireChat · 13/04/2017 21:57

Foundation+ concealer+ colour corrector? I think you'd be best trying to cover it with the peach tones in the colour corrector.

Also, lie and say you bumped into something!

Bloomed · 13/04/2017 22:02

Hirudoid cream? I used it when I had a huge bruise from falling off a bed (!)

Gooseygoosey12345 · 13/04/2017 22:26

You need a good concealer! Failing that orange or light green eyeshadow under a foundation with good coverage should camouflage it. I know that sounds crazy but it'll offset the purplness. Good luck

Voice0fReason · 13/04/2017 22:27

I'd use a green concealer to cover it as much as you can

LockedOutOfMN · 13/04/2017 22:30

Ice? Wear A hat to the barbecue?

WicksEnd · 13/04/2017 23:26

Make it into an Easter bunny. 🐰

Lindy2 · 13/04/2017 23:41

I think you're going to need a hat 😂
