This came up on my Facebook page and I was a bit flabbergasted by the thought of gluing hair accessories to the head of a baby

Is this the same stuff as that labia glue?

DrSeuss · 11/04/2017 20:18

I always found a staple gun far more effective, to be honest.

Theweasleytwins · 11/04/2017 20:18

What can I stick to my Ds so people know he is a boy🤔

SailAwayWithMeHoney · 11/04/2017 20:19

DrSeuss I just snorted all over myself! Grin

Littledidsheknow · 11/04/2017 20:21

I'd probably punch the wall if I looked at the sure for more than a few seconds, MrsB

On the Amazon.com girlie glue page a buyer has posted pictures of her KITTEN with bows stuck to it with GG. Kitten is also wearing a dress Hmm

Sometimes I just want to stop the world and get off.

Jeepers! Shock

londonrach · 11/04/2017 20:23

Dollars so american...hoping doesnt come over here. Seen every mum setting up business recently making chocking bibs. Why put your baby at risk.

SmilingButClueless · 11/04/2017 20:26

Um, isn't "girlie" slang for something else entirely?!

wanders off singing about lumberjacks

April229 · 11/04/2017 20:27

WTAF?

Morphene · 11/04/2017 20:34

Why would you buy glue when your baby produces plenty of the perfect sticky substance in the form of snot?

jamdonut · 11/04/2017 20:34

There are no words....Shock

GretchenFranklin · 11/04/2017 20:38

I don't see the problem with it who wants their gorgeous little bundle looking like Phil Mitchell?

PonderingPerson · 11/04/2017 20:39

Oh god, thats awful! no you're not being unreasonable!

AugustRose · 11/04/2017 20:39

DS (now 6) has often been mistaken as a girl because of his longer hair and dark eyelashes, perhaps I should by some of this and cut off some hair to give him a beard!

Seriously though, how awful are these products.

FKat2016 · 11/04/2017 20:50

Gross and bizarre. Baby bangs even more so! How utterly vile. Who are these parents who feel it's SO important for their baby's sex to be known?

VestalVirgin · 11/04/2017 20:52

It's the way it is marketed that irks me most. The unashamed admitting that yes, they totally believe that girls should be marked as second class citizens from the moment of their birth so that no one mistakenly treates them as though they're human.

Though of course it needs this marketing. There's already perfectly usable glue for gluing mask parts to skin. The only way to sell a glue that is this weak is to tell people that they need a water-soluble weak glue because they need to glue things on their baby every fucking day.

VestalVirgin · 11/04/2017 20:53

Why would you buy glue when your baby produces plenty of the perfect sticky substance in the form of snot?

Because girl babies literally consist of sugar and spice and everything nice and don't produce snot, you ignorant fool!

.Wink

saracrewe2 · 11/04/2017 21:21

This sort of mentality is quite common in Bible belt US. Girls need to look 'feminine' from birth and the fundamentalist christians I know of on TV/social media usually have a headband with a mahoosive bow on a girl from day 1.

They also have a hairband with fake pigtails. The Duggars are nuts for them.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 11/04/2017 21:28

I have trouble keeping my sun hat on when it's windy, maybe I should try this stuff.
The staple gun that I currently use does sting a bit

Bellabooboo · 11/04/2017 21:33

Ugh. Not for me or my 2 DDs thank you please.

intergalacticbrexitdisco · 11/04/2017 22:02

The fuck is wrong with the usa people?

AutumnalLeaves38 · 11/04/2017 22:07

Good grief, all these products are jaw-droppingly horrendous Shock

About as inappropriate as perfumes specifically targeted at babies...

What is nicer than the natural scent of a little one's head???
Certainly not flipping fake, chemical-laden, "moss", "rhubarb" and "cyclamen" (actual descriptions from its fragrance) at £36 a pop ("Baby Touch", Burberry). Angry

MuncheysMummy · 11/04/2017 22:07

I saw a post of Facebook from a mum warning about the dangers of those big bow headbands she'd let her baby nap wearing one and it slipped down and suffocated the baby!! What must she have been thinking?! Shock

AutumnalLeaves38 · 11/04/2017 22:10

^^ Are any of them joke products, btw? Please someone say yes.
