At home woth a ten month old DS. We moved to my DH home town and I cannot get transferred with work at the moment (I had hoped it was sorted but work being difficult after mat leave). So I am a SAHM at the moment. DH just came home at lunch break and asked why his lunch wasn't ready. In a joke-y way. But hit a nerve. The baby hadn't napped and was cranky.

Should I be making his lunch? I put baby in car and went for a drive. I'm fuming. I clean the whole house and make every dinner, give baby every meal.

I was actually busy trying to sort work stuff but that's irrelevant.

AIBU to be v pissed off? I'm not sleeping well due to bf and stress of work stuff.

He can make his own lunch.

If he was genuinely joking, explain nicely but firmly that you're in no mood for those kinds of jokes. If he was serious, explain firmly that he can get to fuck start pulling his weight around the house a bit because you're working a 24/7 job and you're knackered.

He made a joke. You definitely overreacted.
