I told him not to put it there so it's his fault

Told Dp to stop putting books/pages/letters/junk on the kitchen table. He does it all the time and I move them as I hate looking at a big pile of junk on the table.

So this morning put a pile of children's school books on the table per usual, I then pour some wine and set it on the table and turn round and accidentally knock it over. This causes the glass to break and wine to go over the books.

Only two are wet at the back and the rest are more splattered but it will dry ok and hopefully then won't notice he smell. Yes I know it's my fault but I did tell him not to put stuff their.

So Aibu to not care and think of it more as teaching his a lesson.

Ps I don't think the kids will notice it.

I just got as far as pouring wine in the morning and took my hat off to you.

So yeah his fault probably

You didn't spill the wine on purpose so YANBU.

Putting stuff on a dining table is stupid, there's food spillage waiting to happen on it.
