Eh? Trump admitting it was a shit target? I don't get those tweets.

I don't get those tweets

People are saying that the runway didn't get hit. Trump is trying to explain why they don't attack runways. But there are ways of denying runways IF you really wanted to deny a runway.

The new nomme de guerre* , illegitimate?* The father of Ivanka, the American.

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 20:11

Sorry. illegitimate.

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 08/04/2017 20:11

Ah, thanks Cozie

Maybe he's suggesting the US don't have the ability to deny runways using military force?

They do have the ability IF they really wanted to.

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 08/04/2017 20:16

So, is that nickname especially insulting because he's defined by his relationship to his daughter, rather than in his own right?

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 20:18

It's apparently - among those using it - a mark of some warmth. I have no idea why.

Interesting though.

Natsku · 08/04/2017 20:20

I deny all runways!

MicrowaveSpy · 08/04/2017 20:27

Whenever I see Trump/Kushner I hear this song...

I do think that Trump is ever so slightly in awe of his son in law

MicrowaveSpy · 08/04/2017 20:32

Sorry for random message. I was watching MSNBC and the tsar-a-lago war room nonsense

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 20:32

I'm sure that his 'people' are hoping to Goodness that he's .........keeping his nose clean at the moment.

AcrossthePond55 · 08/04/2017 20:51

Translation: Well, we coulda destroyed those runways if we had wanted to. We just didn't want to, so there! Nyah!!! 😝

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 20:53

I think that that's likely fair comment, Orlantina. Wink

As a rule I think we Americans tend to separate a person's ability to govern well from his 'peccadillos', feeling that marital infidelity is a 'personal matter' between the Pres and the First Lady and that it does not affect his ability to run the country. I'm not saying this is right or wrong, just that it 'seems that way

Unless you're Hillary Clinton of course and the fac you were loyal and decided to work at your marriage, actually makes you even worse Angry

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 21:24

Not entirely, San. She'd have received just as much stick if she'd decided to finish with him.

SanFranBear · 08/04/2017 21:31

Agreed - my point is that she was damned if she did, damned if she didn't.

I repeat a point I made probably 25 threads ago - if she had five children from three different marriages, she would never have even got the nomination...

The trouble is that when Bill Maher 'jokes' about 45 saying' You're using Tomahawks - wouldn't missiles be more effective? (Or some such) it has the palpable ring of probability to it. Sort of takes the edge off.
