Yep.. that's why he's moving a Navy strike group closer to N Korea.

He's seeking to 'persuade' the Chinese of his resolve. (I.e. He likes giving orders.) I don't think that meeting with Xi went that well.

No I don't think so either. Xi and Assad have a decent relationship, even though Xi condemned the use of CW. I got the impression that Xi was not happy about the strike.

As far as Trump trying to impress Xi, I suspect it fell well short. The Chinese respect strength, not lack of control. They respect wisdom, not "shooting from the hip" as it were. He's not tweeted about their meeting, has he? I agree, I don't think it went well.
