Was almost a little meme. The posters were bored, fed-up, sick of hearing this nonsense. Such talk was all melodramatic and exaggerated and insulting, and if anything bad happened it would anyway be the fault of the pathetic doomsayers for mentioning it could.

Some of the posters are still around... maybe I've just missed the Don't Mention The 1930s posts?
