I was chatting with a group of people, including a stay at home dad I know, about childbirth etc. I commented that I'd given birth to a 10lb 13oz baby without a tear and this dad said that I "should have asked to have a stitch put in to tighten it up for my husband's benefit"

what an arsehole!

Aloveheart · 08/03/2007 21:18

Did he mean it as a joke??? that was very rude did you punch him one??

You should have said, ' your wife should have one seeing as your c*k is small.'
lmao

Beauregard · 08/03/2007 21:18

You should have told him to ask for an op to move his arsehole from his mouth.

Bananaknickers · 08/03/2007 21:19

I would have lauged ,but then I don't offend over things like that. He was pulling your plonker wasn't he?

maisym · 08/03/2007 21:19

lol aloveheart

what a thing to say - beyond belief.

charlottegeorgiaolivermums · 08/03/2007 21:20

What a nerve! I'd of kicked him were it hurts and then said - oh sorry foot slipped but at least your poor wife may be able to see it know it's black!!!!!!!
This is the sort of comment my dh says to me but he gets away with it because the the relationship we have we opening dig at each other but totally adore each other. He'd never say this to someone he didn't know. He does say things like this to my friends but they understand his ways. Maybe this man is like my dh and didn't mean to cause upset you but I agree I'd be very upset if someone I didn't know said this to me

fireflyfairy2 · 08/03/2007 21:20

Some men just don't think.

I remember my husband's work partner telling him, after the birth of their 4th child, that his wife would need a bit of 2x4 to stop him falling in....

I hadn't had any children at that time & I still hate him for that comment! I'd kill dh if he ever ever said anything like that about me!!

Aloveheart · 08/03/2007 21:21

omg fairyfly. HOw rude.

ComeOVeneer · 08/03/2007 21:22

2shoes · 08/03/2007 21:22

Wickedwaterwitch is right in her 1st and 2nd post,. what a wanker.

Aloveheart · 08/03/2007 21:22

sorry got your name completely wrong,

madamez · 08/03/2007 22:02

Well, some people are apocalyptically tactless and/or don't realise that certain types of humour only work with certain types of people. It's kind of dependent on how well you know the bloke and what good qualities he has when it comes to deciding whterht to slap him one, flounce out of the room or just take it as "X being a bell-end again" and let it go. And there is at least anecdotal evidence that some gynaecologists used to make comments like this when stitching women up after delivery - in all seriousness!

Mind you, when I was being stitched up after having DS (and I did have a bit of a ripping incident) I remember yelling at my mother, who was with me, to tell the midwife I didn't need to be that tight, thanks...

Spidermama · 08/03/2007 22:09

I'd plant my heel hard and fast into his groin. Vile beast.

GlitteringGoldie · 08/03/2007 23:33

Wow.. That guy is first class a**wipe. No way, you are not being unreasonable. You seriously need to rethink the people you mix with tho! It was a sick, vile, inapproptiate and rude comment for him to make and I pity his wife and children. What a jerk! I'd say it was borderline sexual harrassment even... My DH would knock the lights out of anyone who said that to me!

twinsetandpearls · 08/03/2007 23:36

I'd have said
"actually I don't need it as dp is extremely well endowed and now I can accomadate him woth comfort and ease. Of course things would be different if he had a tampax penis like you"

I'd have been offended too - but would have been tempted to look smug and say that my superior vaginal elasticity, together with my husband's enormous cock, made such cosmetic stitching unnecessary.
What a w*nker!

Stiller · 08/03/2007 23:42

Husband stitch !!!

steinermum · 08/03/2007 23:47
