Who is right in this? We're having a new kitchen and both agree on white units, but I want grey and black with a stainless steel cooker, H wants brown tiles and a white cooker. I spend more time in there than him, I think I get the final say.

Yes OP you are right.
Does he mean chocolate brown tiles Don't go there!
Mind you we have glass splash backs in a taupe colour which is a kind of mocha light brown, I suppose. All the cupboards are white and minimalist. Cooker is chrome.
