About office dog

Name changed as it's identifying.

I work in an open plan office. A new manager has recently started bringing her dog to work, which has free roam of the place.

My problem is that I hate dogs; in fact I am scared of them. I got bitten when I was a kid and have always been nervous around them. Aside from the fact that it makes me nervous, it smells, keeps nosing around in people's belongings and my colleagues think it's hilarious that I'm scared and keep mocking me.

It's a reasonably formal office with around 40 employees.

AIBU to think that the office is not a place for a dog?

I had a tutor at university who used to bring his bassett hound into work every day - they were kind of a double act and completely adorable. However, I don't generally like dogs and hate going into shops and offices - posh estate agencies and interiors shops in the countryside seem particularly guilty of this - and having some bloody hound start snuffling around my skirt with everyone chucking and saying what a cheeky boy he is Hmm. It's just a nuisance.

Update on this:

So it's now been deemed acceptable for anyone to bring their dogs into the office... today was a 5 month old puppy which has chewed someone's handbag and peed in the kitchen.

I feel disappointed that this company behaves the way it does and has insufficient regard for the welfare of its staff. I am happy to name the employer on social media if i am advised who they are.
