Tornado :P

My mums best friend had a springer called badger, wasn't til years after it died i found out it was a lady badger, i always thought it was a boy!

I have a gorgeous new grey little girl hamster named storm and a baby black hamster named Shadow, both i wanted for a husky but realistically i'm never getting one of those, and their little faces suited the name.

I don't suppose you fancy "Cutelittlemunchkin"? It's good for both sexes, can be abbreviated at will, and you won't be at all embarrassed when it's called out at the vets Grin

tanfield90 · 02/04/2017 16:27

Hudson or Higgins.

thegreylady · 02/04/2017 16:31

Kedi (Turkish for cat)

SheDoneAlreadyDoneHadHerses · 02/04/2017 16:34

Disco, Chairman Meow (I love that), Ferris Mewler (totally stolen from The Bloggess but it's brilliant)

Shopkinsdoll · 02/04/2017 16:36

We had 3 kittens last year. Mums called milly. So called the 3
Ruby
Buttercup
Gilbert ( my son wanted to call them all Gilbert, so they were known as the Gilbert's for the first week lol )
Also had other cats years ago and they were
Misty
Molly
Becky

We name our cats after the place they were found in or we rehomed from (both rescues). Don't want to say as it would be outing. But for example, if we live in London and one was rescued from Battersea, then we would name it Battersea.... Or Kensington.... Or wherever.

The ones we have, their place names suit them beautifully, and are both local to us - within a couple of miles. It always makes others smile too Smile

Smooky
We gave our blueygrey cat a sensible name but now he's nicknamed Smooky, or smooks because DH muddled up the words smooth and silky while petting him one day and it stuck!

shockthemonkey · 02/04/2017 17:58

Bandit

or

Kedi (which is Turkish for "cat", but also sounds just right)

shockthemonkey · 02/04/2017 17:59

Hey, Grey lady! unbelievably I hadn't seen your post before suggesting Kedi myself

thegreylady · 04/04/2017 10:57

My son lives in Turkey and when my little granddaughter saw our Tonkinese kitten she said,"Oh guzel kedi!" Which means beautiful cat so we called her Kedi 😀She lived to be 18 and died last year. We now have Colin, Trevor and Mavis. Kedi's brother was Haggis...

ThePiglet59 · 04/04/2017 11:20

Has anybody suggested Kitten McKittenface yet?

shockthemonkey · 04/04/2017 11:21

My Kedi was rescued in Istanbul. She was a wonderful and çok guzel kedi but became bir az hasta at a quite young age... then sadly died before her time.

Come on OP, two of us say Kedi.

Sunnysidegold · 04/04/2017 11:31

Please call it badger! I would have loved to have named a pet when I was a kid!

nolongersurprised · 04/04/2017 11:50

Oedipus

splendide · 04/04/2017 11:53

Badger!

RiversrunWoodville · 04/04/2017 12:10

I still want Sniff but dd is still after Badger (DH) now liking Bandit. No we're not normally this indecisive Blush

FluttershyStare · 04/04/2017 12:19

Badger Sniff the bandit has a nice ring to it Grin

FluttershyStare · 04/04/2017 12:20

Or bandito

You'd have to find a kitten sized poncho and 'tache though

MatildaTheCat · 04/04/2017 12:39

Claus.

Matilda is a good name for a cat but possibly not unisex enough. Smile

Tweedledee3Tweedledum · 05/04/2017 08:58

What about Rhino?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 05/04/2017 09:16

Mitch.

MaitlandGirl · 05/04/2017 09:26

We've just got a black/white kitten called Spencer.

Other potential names were Gatsby, Arthur and Albus.
