The whole 'Sandy Hook denial' notion is just bizarre, isn't it?

Interesting article.

I think 45 is just protecting himself, though.

AcrossthePond55 · 02/04/2017 21:26

We have a friend who believes 9/11 was an inside job, Sandy Hook never happened, and Barack Obama was a Manchurian Candidate (yes, it was all planned in 1960 (gotta allow time for conception and pregnancy you know!) that this 'non-citizen' would be placed in the US to win an election in 2008.

I've been trying to sell him a bridge I own in Brooklyn, but for some reason he won't buy into that one!!!

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 21:31

'9/11 was an inside job'??

Lweji · 02/04/2017 22:12

Yes, and the Pentagon was struck by missiles not a plane.

I expect the missing plane will be on an island somewhere.

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 22:17

The uncertainty of human existence is just too big for some people to take in - they need a conspiracy to ..........humanise it. (If you know what I mean.)

MrsT2007 · 02/04/2017 22:26

Seen the Cambridge analytica thread on Louise Mensch's twitter?

It's....crazy....but tbh she's been right so far. Data scraping to feed the voter data fraud by the Trump team was done via Facebook. They may therefore have some vital info. It's a bit headspinning but worth a read.

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 02/04/2017 22:27

I thought Cambridge Analytics' claims about data mining had been rubbished in the media as overstating the scope and impact of their technology & influence.

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 02/04/2017 22:28

Wasn't it on an earlier thread? (The Cambridge Analytics thing.)

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 22:33

In fact, there are some intriguing parallels to be drawn with 45 and his need for 'control'. It's when things go haywire that he's at his most incandescent, it seems. He doesn't like uncertainty.

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 22:35

It has been illegitimate. Not in that detail or from that angle though - if I recall?

AcrossthePond55 · 02/04/2017 22:35

I forgot to include the Pentagon, Lweji.

Yep, cozie, it was all a conspiracy to get us into a war in the Middle East. It was either Big Business did it for oil, the Jews did it so we'd kill Muslims for them, or the US Govt did it to have an excuse for GW Bush to 'finish off' Saddam Hussein as his father failed to do so during the 1st Gulf War. Friend's reasons seem to change depending on what website or alt-right talking head he's listened to last. There are vast websites dedicated to it. Complete with pictures and slo-mo videos 'proving' there were 'charges' set off in the WTC so it would collapse, a 'bomb' was detonated at the Pentagon. It's bizarre and insulting to the innocent people and first responders who lost their lives.

I'm surprised Trump hasn't come out with these theories and said "it was the Democrats what done it" like the ignoramus he is.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 22:38

Well if the CSZ has a full margin rupture in 10 minutes time, I'm sure he'll rectify that omission, Across.

Roussette · 02/04/2017 23:01

Ignoramus... yes, that sums him up! Like that word Grin

SanFranBear · 02/04/2017 23:08

I used go quite like a conspiracy theory and there are some daft ones out there that can still make me smile.

But the Sandy Hook deniers are the lowest of the low. I absolutely despise them and am constantly appalled that they are still spouting their lies. What the fuck did anyone get from killing children, why would anyone make that up Angry

I won't be able to listen to that programme as I know it will rile me up for ages and put me in the foulest of moods. The fact that Scrotus even acknowledges Alex Jones makes me sick to my stomach.

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 23:32

It's a measure of the man, San. Don't get angry - persist.

HelsinkiLights · 02/04/2017 23:48

I can't get my head around the fact that there really are people out there who deny Sandy Hook.
How & why can they? Are these people not human?

cozietoesie · 03/04/2017 00:14

There's something broken in them.

TheClaws · 03/04/2017 01:11

China is doing this because either a. they understand nepotism, or b. they feel they can easily influence a person as inexperienced in foreign as Kushner. Or both. Either way, it is highly irregular and leaves Kushner open to allegations of bribery.

China going through Kushner rather than State Department to sway Trump: report hill.cm/9VTc7zb

TheClaws · 03/04/2017 01:12

Forgot a word: as inexperienced in foreign relations as Kushner

UnGoogleable · 03/04/2017 01:20

Found you all, do I need to say the magic word .. "CHIna"?

Urgh, I read that thing about the Sandy Hook deniers. The guy being interviewed actually said that if he was wrong, he should be in an institution. So he's admitting his own insanity.

Meanwhile, some of the victim's families are in hiding having received death threats. You couldn't make it up.

cozietoesie · 03/04/2017 01:47

I can't help having the feeling that the Chinese are rather .........relishing all of this.

Lweji · 03/04/2017 02:08

A couple of interesting observations about Trump:

Dementia?

Donald the mover, not a shaker. Desktop manspreading:

(watch when he pushes someone else's glass)
MsHooliesCardigan · 03/04/2017 03:01

Lweji Thanks for that link. I spent a number of years working in care homes and I am increasingly convinced that 45 is showing signs of dementia. Dementia super imposed onto a narcissistic personality is extremely scary.
