My congressman is in the House Freedom Caucus and is adamant he wants Obamacare repealed and not replaced. He even introduced a one sentence bill last week which would do that.

During a phone in town hall he kept referring to the enormity of the US debt and how we would be like Greece in about five years if we don't get rid of ACA. He also said that if there 'isn't any money we should just close down' EPA, Dept. of Education etc. and he chuckled while he said it.

Then yesterday DH turned on the TV and a pastor was wailing about the size of the US debt and praying that God would intervene and stop it somehow. I wonder if a bunch of evangelical pastors are doing the same thing and convincing their congregations (including the HFC politicians) that reducing the debt using any means is God's will for the US?

DH quickly switched to NCIS because we are not a particularly godly house here, and my personal taste in religion is Episcopalian and practical as regards good works.
