Interestingly, Ginger, I seem to recall that the CEOs of the 'big boys' in the energy industry - who are almost the sole users of coal in the States - have said that what 45 has said about coal is largely irrelevant. They're planning to continue with non coal energy. Arguably, they might delay closure of some of their coal powered plants but if so, it would only be for a short time. No new coal plants would be planned, either.
