17... and this is his neatest! His teacher is trying her best to not pull her hair out. This is his writing AFTER having to stay in at break to make it neater ConfusedBlush

I'm 31 and my work would not be that neat. I don't (and didn't in school ) particularly care either. Half because I struggle and half because it's blooming maths so it's the method and result that should count, not how pretty it looks.

RusholmeRuffian · 31/03/2017 07:37

Is this a joke? How is that not neat?

JustSpeakSense · 31/03/2017 07:39

That's neat, obviously.

Does he know your posting photos of his school work online? Hmm

Floggingmolly · 31/03/2017 07:41

He's 17? Confused

enterthedragon · 31/03/2017 07:43

That is positively neat compared to my son's maths book.

Why are you so concerned about it? (genuine question as my son cannot write well and will be using a laptop for exams, with the exception of maths)

DancingLedge · 31/03/2017 07:51

He can do maths to a level that has most of the population of this country defeated.
It's perfectly legible, and really pretty neat.

What else is he doing great at that doesn't meet your perfectionist standards?
Could you bear to try focusing on some positives with him?

yaela123 · 31/03/2017 07:51

I'm a teacher and this would be quite good to me

Why are you posting this?

SuperMoonIsKeepingMeUpToo · 31/03/2017 07:55

Stealth post, without a doubt.

mumeeee · 31/03/2017 07:56

I'm another one saying that work is really neat not at all messy.

OP - you're being a dick. HTH

ZombieApocalips · 31/03/2017 08:09

Are you the child? That is neat writing.

My 16 year old has awful handwriting to the effect that the school has asked me to buy pens so that he doesn't lose marks in his GCSEs. His teacher uses adjectives like abysmal and awful (which I agree with)

Bettyandtheboy · 31/03/2017 08:11

I call BS!

ShowMePotatoSalad · 31/03/2017 08:11

Wow. You and the teacher must be neurotic if you don't think that's good. Why are you "frustrated" by it?

Also why compare it with anyone else's work?

mumofone1234 · 31/03/2017 08:17

You've put your son's A Level work on the Internet to shame him? Confused
Biscuit

iamavodkadrinker · 31/03/2017 08:20

Why is an A Level teacher making her students re-do their work so it's neater? That's the thing you should be concerned about OP.

Aliveinwanderland · 31/03/2017 08:24

I'm a maths teacher and that is perfectly acceptable!

titchy · 31/03/2017 08:38

Oh it's a reverse! OP your mum and your teachers are dicks. HTH

unfortunateevents · 31/03/2017 08:56

Honestly, every school holidays these stupid threads pop up. It's getting boring now.

Chickydoo · 31/03/2017 09:06

My 18 year old's is far FAR messier!

Meekonsandwich · 31/03/2017 09:49

Haha are you being serious?!?!

You would have fainted at my maths books.

Chocowaffle · 31/03/2017 09:59

I don't understand the problem it looks neat to me!

Spikeyball · 31/03/2017 09:59

Maths teacher here. That is fine.

IveAlreadyPaid · 31/03/2017 10:25

My stupid phone won't let me see the photo so having to use my imagination Grin

relaxo · 31/03/2017 18:04
