I wasn't sure where to post so il try here.
Apologies if I'm in wrong spot..
Ok a man was arrested 8 months ago after a girl (16) accused him of something (he didn't do it and no cctv ) then 3 other girls (her friends) came forward claiming the same thing.
He was released on bail and that bail date keeps getting extended as cps are looking at case.
Surely if there's no evidence just word of mouth from girls then it can't go to court?
If they keep extending bail does that mean that they have nothing on him otherwise it would of been sent to court before now?
Anybody could claim anything they can't take people's word for it can they?

What was a 16 year old doing in a nightclub?

user1490538976 · 29/03/2017 15:48

Your guess is as good as mine,if you look the part they never ask often.
Apparently they rarely check ID ..maybe that's why no cctv as they nightclub know they will be in trouble.

Yes my husband was charged with assault there had been an argument in our house and he threw somebody out of our house however the witness claimed he he strangled, punched, headbutted etc this did not happen as i was there but the CPS decieded to take it to court anyway on the basis of one testimoney ,when it got to the trial date they decieded their main witness was unreliable and accepted dh version of events .

The police will investigate. So if the belongings of 4 women have gone missing whilst in the cloakroom, they will look at whether the women's statements are believable. They will look at whether anyone else could have had access to the items. If the cloakroom attendant has worked anywhere else where items have went missing or has any convictions for theft.

user1490538976 · 29/03/2017 16:15

It just seemed odd to me that one girl claimed her purse had gone missing ...why would you leave your purse? Surely you needed money for drinks etc..fair enough your coat but not your purse

Those are the kind of questions the police will ask.

KitKat1985 · 29/03/2017 16:17

What is the reasoning for them believing he stole the items as oppose to another member of staff from the club? Was he working in the cloakroom at the time?

CheWasABitOfAHomophobe · 29/03/2017 16:18

Say 'would of' one more time... I dare you!

If he can't be shown to have taken them ie. is innocent, he doesn't need to worry.

I have faith in the justice system.

brasty · 29/03/2017 16:18

Just advise them to get a good lawyer.

user1490538976 · 29/03/2017 16:20

He is the only person who works on the cloak room,he used to work in a pizza shop as a delivery driver where one girl used to work and they had a bit of a bust up over tips...so he knows one girl pretty well.

Sorry just re-read one of your posts and answered my own question.

mum11970 · 29/03/2017 16:24

They'll be no CCTV in a cloakroom of a nightclub because people old enough to be in there generally have the sense not to leave valuables in their coats.

RayofFuckingSunshine · 29/03/2017 16:25

I suppose it's completely irrelevant anyway, just my judging the entrance policy of the nightclub. I've all of a sudden become old and don't fancy having a night out around 16 year olds.

There is every chance he is guilty, there is every chance he is innocent. It's not for you to decide. The police and the CPS will have a lot more information than they are telling other people.

Also, I suspect the actual reason there was no cctv is the fact that it's expensive and nightclubs/pubs have a hard enough time staying afloat these days without the additional cost.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 29/03/2017 16:31

Well, if she's 16 going to clubs then she won't be taking a coat or a bag. Because you can't plausibly deny having anywhere to put your ID somewhere if you've got those can you!
