Caravan question

I've had a real rough year health wise and my ds's have been amazing.
I'm not working at the moment as I'm waiting for surgery on my spine, so a holiday abroad is out of the question (they've only been abroad once anyway).
But I would love to take them away for a few days as a thank you to them. But everywhere I've looked is so expensive.
Does anyone know of any caravan holidays that are cheap and cheerful?

There are TV pages for Haven owners that let out their vans privately - might be worth a look. You can get chalets at Hemsby cheap. Or even sun holiday tokens when they start them.

Haven! Is Sun holidays is still open for bookings thats a cheap way of booking caravan holidays including Haven parks. You can get all the codes online so you don't need to have collected the Sun papers. We have 2 Sun holidays booked for this year total cost for a family of 3 for 2 holidays - £220.

Try Airbnb - it can be really cheap. Pick somewhere with lots of free activities - even choose unconventional places for a holiday - it may be cheaper.

Some of our best holidays have been UK city breaks. I remember one of the best family breaks was in Cardiff - quite a few museums and places to hang out. Same with Birmingham and Manchester- who would ever think of going there on a break - yet they were so much fun. But then all four of us detest beach/relaxing holidays - we need to be out and about.

Thanks for you responses so far it's really helpful :) I just want that few days so they feel like they've done something.
Before I was unwell we were always going away for days trips but now bless them I can't take them away like that (should say they are 12 and 17). So if we go somewhere, they are now old enough if I'm feeling unwell to take themselves off. Thankfully my eldest is ace with the youngest, and is always listened too (and a little idolised).
