Just watching a news report on Mosul and I'm seriously struggling. The civilian death toll is just unacceptable - all those children. I worry so much for my DC and yet they will (hopefully) never know the terror and utter fear that is these children's daily life.
They're discussing whether the rules of engagement have been changed to allow forces to take more risks and show less consideration for civilian targets. Whilst it's pretty unclear in Iraq as it's complex with a lot of factors, over the border in Syria there has been a sharp increase in the number of dead civilians. This shows increased frequency and less accuracy 
So yeah - sounds like they're trying to 'win' at any cost and fuck those poor brown people on the ground.
I am so angry and sad... war is shit but it just seems to be getting shitter for too many people
