I've often thought that if the senseless killing of five year olds wasn't enough to shock the US into taking significant action around gun control, there really is no hope
. Sandy Hook should have been the turning point and whilst the parents of those children battle on, it feels like to no avail.
Makes me proud in a way that after Dunblane, real change happened to try and prevent another slaughter (as there really is no other word for it) of its kind again. It took time but people from your average bod in the street to the highest level of Government wanted to change and so it happened.
I just cannot see anything ever happening, ever, to change the way the US views guns.
On that, has Scrotus commented on the shooting in Ohio yet? From what I can see, it was the result of an ongoing argument but whatever the reason, people should be able to go out and have fun without worrying they're going to get shot! I mean - WTF
