What a flaming joke.

Gabilan · 24/03/2017 20:06

Oh dear. It's not even proofreading really. It's just someone having a basic grasp of grammar. Or not.

Bluntness100 · 24/03/2017 20:06

Oops,,,😂

SmilingButClueless · 24/03/2017 20:06

Iceland clearly has aspirations to be a greengrocer's WinkHalo

YesItsMeIDontCare · 24/03/2017 20:07

Are they selling lot's of card's in all the shop's?

terrylene · 24/03/2017 20:08

I was thinking that it was ok seeing as English is not their language...............

Willwe · 24/03/2017 20:08

This is why Iceland's shouldn't sell card's. Wink

ChickenVindaloo2 · 24/03/2017 20:09

It was £1 so I bought it and will see how long it takes my mum to notice when I give her it!

Gabilan · 24/03/2017 20:11

My mum's an English teacher. She'd notice before she opened the envelope.

Glossolalia · 24/03/2017 20:13

It's not even a nice card. Confused

ChickenVindaloo2 · 24/03/2017 20:14

Yes, for the avoidance of doubt, this abomination is being sold in Iceland the shop. Not Iceland the country. Probably wouldn't get past the airport prohibitions against bringing in obscene material.

I need to get one for my mum. We share a love of pedantry...

badabeedabom · 24/03/2017 20:15

Me too Grin

Moanyoldcow · 24/03/2017 20:16

I actually vommed a bit in my mouth reading that...

frazzled3ds · 24/03/2017 20:16

I found this in Tesco - tweeted them with it and they replied to say they'll be correcting it on the next run ;)

ArchNotImpudent · 24/03/2017 20:17

No wonder the third bear looks a bit pissed off.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 24/03/2017 20:17

Lol, sales will skyrocket and Iceland won't know why!

The card will be a collector's item and only available on ebay for £hundreds!

OP posts:
ChickenVindaloo2 · 24/03/2017 20:17

Oh God, Tesco!

OP posts:
isthistoonosy · 24/03/2017 20:18

I was also about to say, stop being mean it's not their first language after all

Feelingworriednow · 24/03/2017 20:19

And no full stop either.

TotalPineapple · 24/03/2017 20:19

That is truly awful.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 24/03/2017 20:22

Saw one similar a year or two ago - 'If Mum's were flowers, I'd pick you.'

Proofreeders are not wot they used to be...

Andrewofgg · 24/03/2017 20:23

I got a business card recently which included the word "proffessional". It did nothing for my confidence in the bearer.

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 24/03/2017 20:24

I was genuinely confused about why the card wasn't in Icelandic.

But yes, YANBU. How hard can it be?

NewPuppyMum · 24/03/2017 20:31

Before Christmas Poundland were selling wooden signs with a sentence about misteltoe. I told the lady in the till they wouldn't sell many. Had no response.
