To want some reassurance re day school for boys in London

Three DC, two boys just been diagnosed with SEN due to Dyslexia. Teachers say bright but struggle with pen to paper and now we know why. I've been told boarding is a good option to escape bun fight of day places for boys in London. But we don't want to board them so this isn't an option for us.

The options look thin on the ground. We are lucky enough to have option to go private (we're not in catchment for any decent state secondaries) but when I see how competitive it is I kind of despair.
Anyone else been in this situation ?

Any chance you can move slightly out eg. Into Hertfordshire , less pressure on school places, chesper property but easily commutable.

Where abouts are you? Some are very focused on SEN and I think partly allocate places on need. Is moving an option? I work at an independent prep school and I often hear about how the state sector is so much better for support with learning difficulties but it's not something I've experienced myself.
