OK, Bigly. I have to comfort myself with something I read earlier that only G W Bush (2nd term, I think) won the popular vote in the last umpteen elections and the old, grey, white Republicans who shore up the party are dying out. We just have to trust the demographics and play a long game. They're buttheads, but they are in a dwindling minority - unfortunately bunched in lots of key marginals, which help with the Electoral College.
I read something, no idea where, that suggested that that generation of people, has a higher number of sociopaths than other generations. And that because they are the generation "in charge" at the moment, it is why we are seeing an upsurge in selfish policy decisions.
I'm not sure what to think about it, but might it explain the current political situation in the UK and USA?
