I hear where you're coming from 7Days, but I think (hope) that the lunatic fringe still hates 'the commies' more than they hate 'the liberals' and that if proof begins surfacing and gets combined with Trump's family's ritzy lifestyle (they hate the rich almost as much as they hate the liberals) that it will erode their hero-worship.

I think, in the end, the lunatic fringe may cause some isolated 'ructions' and unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised at targeted assassination attempts (similar to those that have happened against abortion providers or civil rights workers) against liberal public figures. But I don't think there's really enough of them to cause a major disturbance. At heart, they're mostly blow-hards who run when things get too hot.

I think I may understand cozie. Something that one thinks of, perhaps, but doesn't want to actually say out loud.

No matter what happens (or how) I think we're in for an interesting time if things unfold as they appear to be unfolding. If nothing else I hope the ensuing shit storm provides enough of a distraction so that the Trump-mobile will be brought to a dead stop and can do no further damage to the country until we can hold the midterms.

Grommit at this point I think Trump is of no further use to Putin, there's just too much information floating around 'out there'. But since Trump is knee deep in the shit himself I think Putin knows he'll keep his mouth shut. I'd say Trump is pretty 'safe' right now. He's too visible a target.

Has he lifted the sanctions yet? If i were Putin (heh heh heh maybe I am!!!!) I would want Trump to do that, soon as, while he is still in power, then keep him there for as long as possible. If there is a major backlash against him no successor will want to be seen carrying on such contraversial policies. At heart its all about that Arctic oil and pipeline. I think.
