I don't know, Grommits.

egosumquisum1 · 25/03/2017 18:06

Waiting for healthcare to explode and all the effects of that is hardly Presidential, is it?

cozietoesie · 25/03/2017 18:08

He doesn't know what being 'presidential' is, though. No concept of 'service'.

GrommitsEarsHurt · 25/03/2017 18:11

cozietosie - he seems very much in it for himself, and trying to implement travel bans is barbaric racism.

cozietoesie · 25/03/2017 18:26

I don't actually think he cares much about any grounding of policies (Lord knows he's changed position often enough.) He just says and does what he thinks people want and which - at the time - will make things easy for him.

Lweji · 25/03/2017 18:36

I think he may be the first modern president to throw his weight behind a big Pledge Bill - to his own party - and not get their support. Mind you, other presidents did some, even considerable, lengthy work on it. They didn't 'lose'.

Any party leader with two brain cells would get a consensus within his own party before proposing anything. Or would ensure they'd vote in favour.
This was rushed, poorly drafted and poorly presented.

MrsT2007 · 25/03/2017 18:37

He genuinely doesn't care one jot about normal 'Mericans does he

Having a good chortle at the Donaeld the Unready twitter again, mind

cozietoesie · 25/03/2017 18:39

Well it was a complicated issue, Lweji. Who knew? Grin

Roussette · 25/03/2017 18:42

Everything he does is rushed and poorly drafted and presented. I think he is treating this position like being the CEO of a Company (he let slip in the conceding defeat interview after the Healthcare Bill... "America is a great Company... I mean Country")

He's used to getting his way as the boss of a Company and this 'job' is a very different kettle of fish... he has 318 million 'employees' he can't fire.

egosumquisum1 · 25/03/2017 18:54

"America is a great Company... I mean Country

He did that with Merkel as well.

This is what #DevinNunes was racing over to the WH to tell Trump....

From my sources and what has been openly reported, it increasingly looks like #Flynn may have a deal with the FBI. #trumprussia

Lweji · 25/03/2017 19:24

he has 318 million 'employees' he can't fire.

Not only that, but that he must make sure are fed and healthy. And vote for him again in 4 years.

cozietoesie · 25/03/2017 19:27

Just so, Pain. Has the Senate Intelligence Committee subpoenaed anyone yet? Smile

Lweji · 25/03/2017 19:27

Ah,

National Enquirer brands Flynn a “Russian spy” — Trump just threw Flynn under the bus. Why?
3/24/17 10:46am by John Aravosis 36 Comments

"Before we begin, don’t tell me the National Enquirer isn’t reputable — that is not the point of this story. The National Enquirer has an umbilical cord tethered to Team Trump, and only writes what Trump wants them to write. So the big question this morning is why Team Trump wants to smear Michael Flynn."

If he cut a deal with the FBI, this may have swayed him.

SanFranBear · 25/03/2017 19:28

Touching on Marine Le Pen - she is considered much more moderate than her father (I believe she actually removed him from the party) to broaden the appeal of the Front Nationale which has caused problems with the more conservative arm of the party. However, her daughter holds much more extreme views which does appeal to that part and so whilst there is no chance they will get elected this time round, there is real concern they will gain strength over the next few years Sad

Potentially scary times ahead!

cozietoesie · 25/03/2017 19:29

Thanks for those. Interesting.

SanFranBear · 25/03/2017 19:29

Oh, and Marine's daughter is only 27!

cozietoesie · 25/03/2017 19:30

For WhoKnew to throw Flynn under the bus is a bad mistake.

Lweji · 25/03/2017 19:34

Le Pen's speech is more moderate than her father's. Whether she is or not, remains to be seen.
She's very charming. And women tend to appear less threatening.

And, yes, she did remove him from the party.

cozietoesie · 25/03/2017 19:38

If you were Flynn, who would you trust more - the WH or Comey? Smile

BiglyBadgers · 25/03/2017 19:39

Not only that, but that he must make sure are fed and healthy. And vote for him again in 4 years.

A complete aside, but just imagine if all CEOs had to get a majority vote of approval from all employees every 5 years to keep their jobs. Bet not so many of them would be making 300 times the wage of their average employee then Grin

BiglyBadgers · 25/03/2017 19:39

If you were Flynn, who would you trust more - the WH or Comey? smile

Well, theirs a decision I'm glad i don't have to make!

Lweji · 25/03/2017 19:42

At this point, I wouldn't trust any. :)
Comey could easily manipulate him and betray him. But, overall, the FBI would seem a much safer bet than the back stabbers nest.

Here's another who thinks there's a deal:

Wonder if he's sung like a canary?

If so, it could get interesting.

First to squeal gets the best deal.....
