He doesn't ever mean it but says it as a joke. AIBU? It's like "stop that DD or I will put you over my knee." He says it in public sometimes. I find it embarrassing and feel it's inappropriate. Aibu or should he stop?

It's a pointless threat that dd will exploit in years to come. Or force him to carry out the threat. .

He just laughs. No it's not really like that it's not even a threat and she laughs and he laughs. They don't mean it but its not appropriate.
