What's going on??

I have a 10 month old dd.

Had a miscarriage late last year.

I have started taking the pill (not good at remembering but then me and dp don't have a lot of sex)

Last couple of weeks bleeding on and off, one boob is killing if it's touched or I lean against it to the point it's unbearable.

All I want is Pringles and tescos cheese and ham sandwiches (yes it has to be tescos)

Surely I can't be pregnant! Has anyone had this?

If you aren't taking the pill as prescribed then yes of course you could be pregnant. Frequency of sexual doesn't have anything to do with it!

Annesmyth123 · 20/03/2017 20:05

You need to test x

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 20:09

What about the bleeding though it's been really heavy at times.

Honestly my boob kills I just touched it and I was nearly in tears! That's never happened to me pregnant or not.

Your hormones will be up the left because you're not reliably taking the pill I'd assume.

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 20:16

I've been really good with it for the last week take it every night before bed and still it hasn't settled. Maybe I should give it a little longer and see if it calms down.

If you aren't taking the pill properly and it doesn't sound like you are of course you could be pregnant, but a test ?

DesignedForLife · 20/03/2017 20:19

Is your breast red at all? Are you breastfeeding? Pain in one boob doesn't sound like pregnancy to me, but only a test can tell you that. Otherwise that amount of pain I think you should see a GP tomorrow in case it's an abscess or something.

Annesmyth123 · 20/03/2017 20:19

You really need to take a text

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 20:21

Guess I'm a dumbass! My memory is terrible I just get so busy with household chores dd and trying to steal an hour for myself that I forget.. I know it's stupid how can you forget to take a pill which takes not even 30 seconds of your life!

OP posts:
blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 20:22

Not breastfeeding and no redness or lumps which is weird but the pain is bad. Dd head butted me in the chest earlier (not hard) and I swear I nearly passed out the pain was out of this world!

DesignedForLife · 20/03/2017 20:23

Maybe considering the contraceptive injection or implant? Both safe whilst Breastfeeding should that be an issue.

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 20:24

I've tried both of those implant become infected and the depo made me quite poorly I am on the progesterone pill

ohdoadoodoo · 20/03/2017 20:24

I've been really good with it for the last week take it every night before bed and still it hasn't settled

That's because you could already be pregnant, and if you are, and you're having symptoms, you're probably at least four or five weeks. Taking the pill when you're already pregnant won't stop symptoms.

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 20:25

Oh dear.. maybe you're right I need to do a test and I need to get this boob checked out I think

OP posts:
Happyandhungry · 20/03/2017 20:48

Why would you not just do a test? Come on OP.....

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 20:55

Well it's only just clicked for me im on my own oh is at work and dd is in bed so can't do a test but surely this pain isn't normal?

OP posts:
Happyandhungry · 20/03/2017 21:16

Boobs hurt a lot when you're pregnant..to the point where for me in the first 12 weeks i was in agony if anyone dared touch them or knock them including myself. So yes it is normal and you've got a 10 month old so i imagine you know all about pregnancy symptoms etc?? Hmm

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 21:56

Well every pregnancy is different I didn't have these symptoms to be honest I wouldn't of even known I was pregnant before I started showing.

I've had a little feel was very painful but I have found a lump that feels incredibly sore if it's touched. Not good.

OP posts:
mickeysminnie · 20/03/2017 22:13

Could you have shingles?

Happyandhungry · 20/03/2017 22:13

Best you go to the docs then.

buzzmoon · 20/03/2017 22:15

Test in the morning

juls1888 · 20/03/2017 22:19

If I ever miss even one day of my pill I get the most horrendous sickening pain in my chest. It sounds like your hormones are just reacting badly to not having your pill consistently.

blacksheepbaba · 20/03/2017 22:34

I have had shingles before I had it behind my eye I felt very unwell with it.

I don't feel poorly just the pain in the chest. Taken 2 painkillers I will check in the morning and book a doc appointment if needed and take a test

OP posts:
TattyCat · 20/03/2017 22:40

If you feel it's necessary then get it checked out but most major issues don't cause pain and a lump that hurts in this way is unlikely to be cancer if that's what you're worrying about (they are mainly painless if serious). I've had one painful breast and sometimes both many times and it doesn't help when the dog kicks it when we're playing!! It's unbearable to touch but can last 2 weeks before disappearing.

I think you'll be ok and if you can tolerate it, it will be gone in a week or so.

VelvetThunder · 20/03/2017 22:46

I had this horrendous boob pain last week or so, just as you described. My youngest is 8 months and up until recently was being fed by breast at night, however her feeds were reducing. The pain was awful! I had a feel and could feel a tender lump. I left it for that day and kept an eye, but the next day it was pretty much gone so as I had assumed, must have been to do with the feeding. It could well be your hormones, take painkillers and keep an eye on it. See how it is in the morning and if it's still sore make a gp appointment. I would also take a test to rule out possibility of pregnancy.
Good luck Flowers
