Anyone been through this? What can my best friend do? He missed them by a few points...

She is not going to accept the really crapppy school he has been offered.

I dont live there so have no idea how this works

Please any advice?

One of the little girls in my sons class has been given a school (local slum school on special report) her parents did not even put this on the list of choices.
They can appeal, there is a appeal system your friend needs to contact the local education as soon as she can and set the ball rolling.
Thank god DS1 got our first choice, best school in the borough, but if he had not i would have been appealing as soon as i got the letter.

She will appeal and turn down this school that was not on his list. But I think she feels that she has to activly fight for this as there are so many people in her position passivly appealing and waiting...
