I didn't write this thread title, I'm just quoting a really intelligent and talented poster on the last Trump thread

And this is the man who might have to face off with Kim Jong Un?

egosumquisum1 · 19/03/2017 20:10

It was a sulk wasn't it

Yes. His body language speaks volumes. He can't deny that.

MrsT2007 · 19/03/2017 20:18

The look she gave him at the press conference was just perfect.

Utter disdain and contempt.

Lweji · 19/03/2017 20:20

I watched most of the press conference earlier today and I have to say I admire Angela's poker face.
Trump would be taken to the cleaners.

MrsT2007 · 19/03/2017 20:25

Holy moly apparently now Nunes has said there's nobody under surveillance in the whitehouse "except one" on TV!!!

Ummm aren't you supposed to keep schtum, sir?

BerylStreep · 19/03/2017 20:28

I thought Merkel handled the snub quite graciously in the circumstances. It was unbelievably rude though - I wonder did he try to grab her by the pussy [sic] and she batted him off? Grin

Does anyone remember the footage of her waiting to greet Berlusconi, and he kept her waiting whilst he talked on the phone?

PlectrumElectrum · 19/03/2017 20:29

I think so. She told him a few facts of life. Hence the sulk

I'd pay good money to watch a video recording of that exchange - she's probably one of the few people he's come across so far who could be blunt about his limited intelligence ignorance of political discourse. And inability to deal with facts. And she's a woman too! It's one thing to pick the sort of fake media you'll engage with but you can't pick you political allies as easily as he would like to so sucking up to putin does not an ally make

DoctorTwo · 19/03/2017 20:29

You think what you like cozie, the sun is still shining here in central England...

PS. I hope Seniorboy is still kicking on. Like you, he's a MN star.

MoonriseKingdom · 19/03/2017 20:34

You've got to admire Merkel - she's had to deal with some right disrespectful wankers in her time. Anyone watch 'The Tracey Ullman Show' - I love her Merkel (and her Nicola Sturgeon).

cozietoesie · 19/03/2017 20:37

I have this (quite appalling) vision of the Lawnmower trying to sort out things by inviting Kim to a game of golf at Mar a Lago.

MicrowaveSpy · 19/03/2017 20:49

Oh dear God cozie could Tsar a Lago host 2 egos of that size?

Moon golf, perhaps?

MicrowaveSpy · 19/03/2017 20:50

Maybe Angela could keep score and sort out the tantrums

cozietoesie · 19/03/2017 21:21

I'm none too clear that Kim believes in 'scores', Microwave, nice idea though that is.

MicrowaveSpy · 19/03/2017 21:34

You're probably right.

Did Lawnmower really compare himself to Andrew Jackson? 45.wh.gov/Jjp2ki

saffronwblue · 19/03/2017 21:46

Merkel is a star. At least she did not have to touch Donald's hand.

Interesting

The US seems not to be too concerned with having any ambassadors at the moment.

None for Canada, Australia, the UK,.

They do have a Russian one though.

It seems a lot had to leave after Trump gained power.
Aren't ambassadors a good thing?

TheClaws · 19/03/2017 22:29

Bigly am I the intelligent, talented one you speak of?? (Luuve the thread title BTW).

I've been absent for a bit because of a migraine that's kept me in bed for a few days. I've come back and now he's even insulted Germany! Scheisse! I have some catching up to do.

Lweji · 19/03/2017 22:41

Aren't ambassadors a good thing?

No need if you have Twitter to insult other countries.

egosumquisum1 · 19/03/2017 22:46

No US Ambassador in Germany either...

woman12345 · 19/03/2017 22:56

And this odd report:
^US diplomat forced to leave New Zealand after being involved in 'serious criminal incident'
The man, who has diplomatic immunity, reportedly suffered a broken nose and a black eye^

egosumquisum1 · 19/03/2017 23:01

Australia..No ambassador
New Zealand..no ambassador.

I suppose it makes it more difficult to summon the ambassador to see a Prime Minister to ask them to discuss US policy if they haven't got an ambassador.

It's a good thing Trump's not annoyed Germany, Australia, the UK or China,is it?

TheClaws · 19/03/2017 23:16

FOX News @FoxNews 1hr

.@newtgingrich: "@POTUS is going to be like Andrew Jackson: An intensely American president."

The comments on this (should you wish to go there) don't agree - the tide is turning for the Fox audience, methinks. There is the odd dissenter or two. But primarily - and especially for this tweet - Trump supporters are being swamped. (See what I did there?)

UnGoogleable · 19/03/2017 23:37

Just dropped in for my latest Trump news, and I see TrueBlue has made us all hungry with all this talk of a Full English Breakfast. It's a regular Sunday thing for us, although I'm vegetarian so I get a 'Full Veggie' with veggie sausages. Tis delicious, although I shouldn't really eat the baked beans because they make me trump
