One of my dc has been corrupted by a friend and is insisting it's a sweet food stuff.

Not under my roof kiddo!

It can be either. No one is right or wrong.

Savoury with bacon and ketchup

except you because it really should be sweet

Well, we have it with bacon and syrup. No idea what that makes it!

Savoury with grated cheese, sweet with syrup - can be both, like pancakes!

Savoury here but was in a diner recently where it was served with icing sugar on the top!

Another vote for bacon and syrup! Best of both worlds.

Another bacon and maple syrup household here. Or for a really wild time, bacon, peanut butter and maple syrup.

I like it both ways, bacon and ketchup or bacon and maple syrup, I ain't fussy.

Sweet egg? No way.

My mum puts icing sugar on it, my dad puts marmite on it.

I would consider it savoury but I eat it with icing sugar and cinnamon. Can't it be both?

I got brought up with it being called French Toast. Definitely sweet with cinnamon and Maple syrup.

Definitely savoury - sweet is an abomination. I like it with ketchup and fried mushrooms.

Both - basic egg and milk mix served with bacon and tomato ketchup for savoury (good guide camp regular meal)

Add a dash of cinnamon to the egg and milk and serve with syrup and fruit and its sweet. (this is French toast to me)

I do admit it is mainly savoury in my house.

Sweet with sugar. Never occurred to me to have it as savoury - which is odd as I don't usually have a sweet tooth.
