One of my dc has been corrupted by a friend and is insisting it's a sweet food stuff.

Not under my roof kiddo!

It can be either. No one is right or wrong.

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/03/2017 15:19

Savoury with bacon and ketchup

PunjanaTea · 17/03/2017 15:19

except you because it really should be sweet

SocksRock · 17/03/2017 15:19

Well, we have it with bacon and syrup. No idea what that makes it!

allegretto · 17/03/2017 15:19

Savoury with grated cheese, sweet with syrup - can be both, like pancakes!

PossumInAPearTree · 17/03/2017 15:22

Savoury here but was in a diner recently where it was served with icing sugar on the top!

Mulberry72 · 17/03/2017 15:23

Savoury here, either with bacon and ketchup or cheese and brown sauce!

LaGatoteca · 17/03/2017 15:25

Another vote for bacon and syrup! Best of both worlds.

fernanie · 17/03/2017 15:25

Another bacon and maple syrup household here. Or for a really wild time, bacon, peanut butter and maple syrup.
must get out more

FumBluff1 · 17/03/2017 15:25

Savoury here with ketchup!

itsawonderfulworld · 17/03/2017 15:25

Sweet here with cinnamon and sugar!

SaucyJack · 17/03/2017 15:25

Savoury with Thai sweet chilli sauce.

mumeeee · 17/03/2017 15:26

Savoury here

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 17/03/2017 15:26

Savoury

RitaMills · 17/03/2017 15:27

I like it both ways, bacon and ketchup or bacon and maple syrup, I ain't fussy.

FrizzBombDelight · 17/03/2017 15:28

Sweet egg? No way.

SaorAlbaGuBrath · 17/03/2017 15:29

My mum puts icing sugar on it, my dad puts marmite on it.

CrackersDontMatter · 17/03/2017 15:29

I would consider it savoury but I eat it with icing sugar and cinnamon. Can't it be both?

IGotTheMustardOut · 17/03/2017 15:29

I got brought up with it being called French Toast. Definitely sweet with cinnamon and Maple syrup.

ifyoulikepinacolada · 17/03/2017 15:34

Either! Like pancakes. I like bacon and maple syrup best though.

AdaColeman · 17/03/2017 15:35

Savoury here. I sometimes use crumpets instead of bread.

cosytoaster · 17/03/2017 15:36

Definitely savoury - sweet is an abomination. I like it with ketchup and fried mushrooms.

Noodledoodledoo · 17/03/2017 15:38

Both - basic egg and milk mix served with bacon and tomato ketchup for savoury (good guide camp regular meal)

Add a dash of cinnamon to the egg and milk and serve with syrup and fruit and its sweet. (this is French toast to me)

I do admit it is mainly savoury in my house.

Eatingcheeseontoast · 17/03/2017 15:39

Sweet with sugar. Never occurred to me to have it as savoury - which is odd as I don't usually have a sweet tooth.
