To say Eggy Bread is a savoury food stuff

One of my dc has been corrupted by a friend and is insisting it's a sweet food stuff.

Not under my roof kiddo!

savoury here - with cheese in the middle

sweet is NOT eggy bread it's 'French toast'

Always sprinkle it with sugar. Although I have a good Savoury version, make a cheese sandwich then dip in egg and fry....it's awesome.

Savoury and we have it with beans. Had it for lunch today, 3 yo and 6 month old loved it. Would also add bacon if I had any. That's how my mum always did it - as part of a fry up.
