Whenever I send a message to my MIL she will take days to read them & never replies. I can see that she is online & comments on other people's posts on FB etc

What apostrophe?

Mumzypopz · 17/03/2017 11:03

There was no apostrophe, there was an exclamation mark, but don't think that shows someone was being angry?

Pagwatch · 17/03/2017 11:03

I need to know what the 'my my' post was or else I will come up with a Far fetched Theory :

Op created sockie and tried to post a bunfight post. Failed. Didn't realise. Posted snotty reply to failed sockie post .

I don't necessarily message someone back or reply to texts unless they are needing an answer. On the other hand I don't tend to text or message someone unless it's for something specific. I phone people if I want a chat.
Stop sending her as many messages and phone her if you need to sort something out.
Some people have too much time on their hands wrt texting and endless messages and status updates.

Jaxhog · 17/03/2017 15:22

For goodness sake, just call her! There may be all sorts of reasons she doesn't reply. As someone else said, she isn't at your beck and call.

I have a number of 'friends' who think its normal to bombard me with endless messages. It isn't normal for me and I often don't know what to say, as the message appears so trivial. So I don't reply to them immediately.

Noodledoodledoo · 17/03/2017 15:26

My MIL and SIL never reply to emails to me. Will forward the reply to my husband!

I email them very rarely so its not an inundation but it does make me smile that they go to the hassle of sending a reply back to my husband!!

2rebecca · 17/03/2017 15:38

That's strange, I rarely email my inlaws as my husband tends to do so, just as he rarely emails my family, but if i did they'd reply to me.

Noodledoodledoo · 18/03/2017 22:17

I think they like to pretend I don't exist!!!

Lots of issues - main issue was I married their son/brother and stopped him being the yes man who did as they bid! Luckily we live a fair distance away!
