To presume my DS sudden allergies are hay fever?

Sorry for the boring subject matter, I just need a quick answer so posting for traffic.

DS started with awful allergy symptoms last Wednesday (itchy, red eyes, runny nose, sneezing).

Has anyone else started with their hay fever symptoms this early in the year or is it likely something else? Thanks!

My DD normally starts a daily antihistamine at the beginning of March for hayfever. Started it a couple of weeks early this year as she was already suffering. Hth Smile

It does seem to be starting already. Hide from the Flowers

Yes, it's definitely started early this year for my daughter and I.

very possible, have a look at an allergy calendar. plenty of pollen around already, especially tree pollen like hazel and alder.

Yes I get it at this time of year, and in September/October are my worst times as it's when the trees are pollinating, and then from the mould spores when the leaves break down.

I get it from March to August. It took me a few years to twig that I was routinely feeling like I was getting a cold each March. The worst part is rapeseed season.

I was thinking of asking if anyone was suffering or if I was becoming allergic to the dog! Shock

Thanks, everyone. We got a new pet and I have been worried that it's that but he suffers from hay fever every year so hopefully just a coincidence!

Both my DS and I have suffered with itchy eyes and a few sneezes since the weekend. We are both allergic to tree pollens and the trees are definitely making whoppee at the moment!
