To put this scaffolding on eBay?

My roof is covered in scaffolding. I've been asking to have it removed weekly since November. Every time they 'forget' or they'll 'do it this week'.

I'm pretty sure it's increasing the risk of a burglary, not to mention it being an eyesore and doing my garden no favours.

In all seriousness, how do I get rid?

Grow some plants up it and make it a feature. I wish my scaffolding had stayed up longer, another roof tile has slipped.

Give them 48 hours to collect or you'll put it on Facebook 'free......collection only'.

Collaborate - I really wish I could understand a word of the document you linked to

I'm afraid that if you want to get it right you have to work your way through the order step by step. Have a look at Landlords sites, as they often need to use this Act to dispose of old tenant's belongings.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean that if you breach it you get away with it. If you want to sell the scaffolding you write to the scaffolder using the method set out in the Act giving them the amount of notice set out in the Act, and containing the prescribed information set out in the Act. After they have failed to collect it within the time stipulated you can then sell it, deducting any out of pocket expenses.
