To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

• Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
• Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
• Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

ooh remembered another, triple chocolate Twix. they were amazing. they had chocolate flavour biscuit and toffee

although no one ever remembers them so possibly they were a limited edition anyway. they did 6 packs of single fingers ones in the biscuit aisle too

Boots used to do a shaving oil in their botanics line. It was bloody fantastic. Made shaving smoother than anything I have tried before or after it was discontinued. I stockpiled them when I realised they were being discontinued. And was so sad when I used the last drop.

Any ideas? Our German students used to bring us chocolates with a man on the wrapper. I can't quite picture him. I'm thinking white wig (like a judge)? Or red and gold Napoleonic-esque. They were yummy.

Sara Lee Pecan Danish has gone???? I'm gutted. (Haven't had one in ages, clearly, but just knowing it was out there, somewhere in the universe, was a source of comfort)
Prescriptives make-up (still available in the US but they pulled out of the UK. ) Once they looked at your skin and told you your base colour I was yellow/red, I think you could find out which colours (lippy, blusher etc) went best with it. It really worked for me. The Boots thingy seems more one-dimensional and isn't nearly as good.
Also sad when Sephora left the UK but it's still available in France so not so disastrous.

So strange how there are things I haven't thought about in years, and now I really want them!

Yy to Sara Lee chocolate gateau, pyramints, Gino Ginelli ice cream, secret bars, milky way fudge and bitza pizza crisps.

What I would really love to eat again though is the original dairy milk chocolate - back when it still tasted good and was the proper shape in the original foil wrapper.

Yes lego, I had 3 of those body shop wood hair brushes and was bereft when the last one had to be binned last year.

Whittard flavoured instant coffee. Discontinued and brought back loads of times before vanishing for good.

Agree with so much on this thread, but nothing as triggery as the post on the first page which reminded me of the terrible moment I was in a local shop and spotted the new, softer style Rowntrees fruit gum packets. Over 20 years has passed and I can still recall the sinking of my heart when I realised they would no longer form any part of my vegetarian diet.

I can't bring myself to read the whole thread because it'll make me sad ( Sara Lee chocolate gateau! Whhyyyy!?!)

But big holes in my life are the blue bold washing powder - refreshing spa that they changed to some crystal shit , and lea and perrins chilli and garlic sauce. I once drank a bottle of it for a bet - joke was on them I would have done it for free and enjoyed it
