You know, like to used to be in the olden daze - pre PB and further back than that.

Where do we go onto from here? Is there an escape plan?

**Disclaimer I knew there were always arseholes here, but now it feels like they have completely taken over. I'm out more than in these days (re MN) but I do kind of miss the fun, humor, intelligence and knowledge of the forum how it used to be.

I hate it too.
My 'cunt' is part of what makes me a woman so I don't want to use it as an insult
but then what do you use?
Dd came home from school yesterday and called her dbro a 'moron'. I explained where that came from and why it wasn't okay to call someone that.
But then I thought - what IS okay? Twat (no, another form of cunt), bastard (no, am one myself), and all the other insults.

I'd like a good short punchy word, with no anti-anything about it.
Anyone know some?
I have to be in the right place to ask Grin

YANBU. But it gets easier to negotiate them. Ignore and don't be drawn into over sharing to justify yourself with randoms that want to think the worst of you/your kids/dog/life choices etc. It's that simple and it's much easier the more you do it.

Worship, how about: 'Wanker', it's ok isn't ie? 'Arsehole'? (We all have one of those). Fucker? Wankshaft? Dickhead? Cock? Knob? (Ok, not complimentary for men, but we're worrying about women aren't we?).

Maybe you should start a thread of women-friendly insults.

Reading a book atm, set in Germany, and 'Arseloch' is used a lot Grin
I like swearing. I do it quite a lot. I like short punchy anglosaxon words, and German sounding ones.
Just not keen on women using part of their anatomy as an insult but maybe that makes me a bit po-faced. (see what I did there? 'po' or chamber pot faced - I have poo on the brain!)
Yes, maybe a thread of women friendly insults would be good :)

Ah bless you understand. I am feeling v cranky today & its' all getting on my tits.

I think what I am bitching about is dilution - so many more people and there are lots who are so nasty to other posters as a default response - I used to see this occasionally, now it seems to taint every thread I'm on, and I'm rarely in AIBU - I don't hang out here. It can be a thread about perfectly innocuous things and all the nasty starts.

@DustyMaiden - I bet your DH lacks the depth and warmth of a cunt! :)

I think the main difference is the place isn't funny as it used to be, you could ignore the cuntish threads and pick an amusing one instead.

@Dixie yes this is how I've been managing my MN reentry (after a lovely break), but the last couple of days my filter has been faulty.
