To think that the Oscar's Best Picture fiasco was absolutely hilarious?

I'm sorry, Ive a warped sense of humour and love things going wrong. It'll be all Right on the Night and other blooper type show's make me howl with laughter. So getting up this morning to find that the slickest and most professional awards ceremony of them all had gone completley tits up really made my Monday a bit brighter. I'd expect an epic cock up like that at the Brit Awards, but the Oscars?! PMSL Grin

Feel sorry for the people responsible though, as you just know that rather than laugh it off heads will roll. Such a shame as it's given me a bloody good laugh today!

The biggest cock up was giving Whiteboy Land so many awards just for a sub-standard musical about a fictional whitebrushed LA.

I agree wholeheartedly... So much bad news in the press that this is such light relief. I agree I feel for the two who read it out, as I'm sure they feel very embarrassed but will hopefully they will be able to laugh about it soon.

We've had a right good laugh about it in the office today.

Even Ryan Gosling was laughing. astoria you don't like La La land then Grin

RuggerHug · 27/02/2017 18:29

Personally I loved 'Ben Affleck and guest' for Matt DamonGrin

I feel a bit sorry for the Moonlight team, they didn't get their "big reveal" moment and it was all a bit of a farce - I've seen more clips of Beatty/Dunaway and/or realisation dawning over the La La Land mob than I have of the actual winners.

Oh no! I don't share your sense of humour at all. I thought it was dreadful all round, can't see the funny side at all.

toffee1000 · 27/02/2017 18:31

LOL the Matt Damon/Jimmy Kimmel thing goes back years. It's some kind of animosity thing, although of course it's probably mega overdone and played up and they're probably closer than close IRL.

Astoria7974 · 27/02/2017 18:33

Sonlypuppyfat - I hated it. Mostly because the worst Bollywood musical is better than LLL yet LLL got more awards than Lion or Fences which were genuinely more moving.

Crispsheets · 27/02/2017 18:33

Cringed at the excruciating dreadfulness. But yes OP it was funny . Especially with the frozen faces of Faye and Warren

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 27/02/2017 18:37

The biggest farce is that it was the main bit on the news. It should have been the And Finally bit accompanied by trombone Waaa Waaa waaaaaah!

Runny · 27/02/2017 18:52

The latest photo of the A list stars in the front row and their stunned faces is brilliant!
