It's a tiny strap that rests below her bunion/big toe joint and you'd think the shoe would just fall off as she walked....

I had a similar pair, they had a transparent toe post - you sort of put your big toe in first and the top strap hid it. Remarkably comfy, if you can wear toe post sandals. I loved them. And she looks amazing.

There's a little bit that comes up at the back of the heel.

I think they are Gucci sandals. I can't see them on the Gucci UK website.

Do you mean a straight toe post connecting the sole of the shoe to the strap? Or a loop for the big toe?

And I still don't see how it would help because the strap is below the bunion line. Like if you had a flip flop (with a toe post) but the only straps were below the bunion line I can't see how they would stay on?

Looking at the pictures lots of actresses have toes on show & no pedicures. I hate feet so would never have mine on show without nail varnish!

Yeah it's the mental stress of wondering how her shoes are staying on. Made him feel quite queezy. The strain 'n all.

That toe ring has literally been on her toe for 15 years. Bleeeuuurgh.

I don't like feet. I have a big problem sitting through DS's taekwondo training sessions because of all the feet. Bleurgh. Jennifer's are lovely. Fabulous legs too.

I think she looks gorgeous but always do kind of wonder why she never gets gets her hair 'done'. It's always the same.

It's the non shoe shoe. I think she does it to make her legs look longer. She's quite short - 5' 4. She's nearly exactly the same age as me and the same height. I like to think that's me in the parallel universe where I'm 3 stone lighter and have amazing hair.

I hate toe rings with a passion. They are so lower class chavtastic - and always seem a bit manky to me. Just think of how dirty bare feet get in normal flip flops - and all the gunk collecting around a toe ring.

I don't see the point of them either. They don't improve the look of feet in a way say that a ring can do on fingers or earrings can by bringing light to the face.

However, she looks lovely so I don't think anyone is looking at her toe ring.

I've got a -very cheap- pair similar design I think, low heal though so not sure if that helps keep them on? I'll try look them out make sure I'm not talking crap...

My very honest opinion is it's an awful look. Her feet age have aged her and the dress was a disaster. She was not in fashion high stakes.

I love her hair and think she is a great and much overlooked actress.

There is a strap at the back, zoom in on the right photo on your second link. You can see a strap through the cloth.

Her toe looks very red in the pic Theonlylivingboyinnewcork posted, so my guess is they are very bloody tight.
