Chessington in April

DS is obsessed with the gruffalo so would like to try and go this year. WIBU to go in April (after the easter holidays so on a school day in the week) or would it still be packed?

Thorpe Park on a June Weds-Thurs and Alton Towers on a September Thurs were both very quiet when I've been. You get the odd school trip but if you avoid Friday it should be ok.
